I rode one from Seattle to Victoria in 1980. I was 20 years old I was quite inspired. Word around here was the foils were being damaged by logs and other things in the water.

There was one on a swiss lake I rode as a kid. In 2012 I rode one from St. Peterburg to Peterhof. Quite unique experience riding on a hydrofoil, especially the moment it slowly starts to lift out of the water.

How much do you know about aviation and how a plane fly? Did you read English Wikipedia about Henry Coanda. You would find an istorian did some real research on the 1910 plane topic. I suggest you start building a scale model of this machine and make it fly 🤣😂🤣. Is there any mention in the papers/magazines at the time about the "jet" plane? Interesting. When intercontinental 707 first went into service, it would also have had a navigator . Inertial navigation didn't come to the civilian market until the introduction of the 747.

Mr.Coanda was certainly the first man, who tried to use a jet engine on a plane. He nearly succeeded. If he did, he would be disappointed. Piston engine air compressor is dead end design, too heavy and inefficient. 20 years after Coanda Italian engineers have made a fighter jet plane with piston engine air compressor and jet engine. The compressor was weak and the plane was too slow to be useful.

I wonder if that Romanian knew what he had designed in the late 1800s, The British took his design and used it on ships creating the steam turbine before wwi and then there was this and the latter jets engines

This is the only video i could find about this airplane, very interesting. You should consider making a video about the history and development of gliders i think it's fascinating, just a suggestion.

I worked at Boeing on 8 of those jetfoils as a test crew member to get them certified for coast guard. sailed 8 hours a day for three months a piece on these boats in Puget Sound, San juan islands, and the straits between the U.S. and CANADA. It was a blast can stand and drink coffee and not spill a drop at speed. Those ships can turn on a dime and give you nine cents in change
