I'm so glad ole mate got his door fixed. It must have been repaired by magic cause we ain't seen nuthin'. What you need to do is buy a replacement track from Bunnings ( and some replacement roller carriages ). Attach the new track with car bog ( YT videos about it ) and later replace the old carriages ( easier said than done on a Stegbar door ) . Search YT. Don't bother callling these clowns.

Hi, tried to text you with pictures from California but won't work. I have a door where you move an actuator on one side of handle and a 90 deg. bent piece of metal wraps around the inside frame on the other side. It's almost broken. Can you identify & help with a replacement ? There is no room in the slider door or frame to install mortise so I think I'm stuck with replacement. Thanks.

To me it looks like that outer pull on the lock is around the wrong way and why machine the existing track when you are putting and s/steel capping track over the top?

...you forgot the most vital piece- HOW TO REMOVE THE DOOR AND INSTALL THE ROLLERS!

If your existing track is bad , simply putting a track cap, or bead cap, will only fix for a while. The real way to fix this would be replacing the entire bottom track. Identify what number track you have, then order the track fro a wholesale door repair company, also try to get the same color. If the track is good, then just new rollers. All you did was cover the problem up.....within a year , that track cap is gonna start peeling up at the edges. Even if you use silicon or glue. The rollers act like a steamroller and will destroy that cap you put on if the track is truly bad.

Useless to not show the most important part - getting the roller mechanism out of the door. Once that's done, it's pretty straightforward. So yes, this is not a useful video. Sorry.

90% of the time the wheels wont be on the grooves properly and will be askewed causing friction.
