I have been to Goma 11 years ago and one day we visted the Lac Vert. We went down the path and I saw some guys jumping in the water so I asked if I could swim as well and a friend who was born in Kongo and lived half his life in Goma just replied with "But It's deep" and I answered that I can swim and he said okay. I got way more attention than I thought, I mean yes I am a Muzungu but at the part you stood in your video so many people watched me. I later was told by my friend that a spirit lives in this lake and that you have to get in contact with it by visiting the lake multiple times before you ever swim inside it. Everyone thought that the spirit was going to pull me down any second. When we climbed up the hill to get back I was told by many men who watched me before that they loved me and want to marry me 😂 I was only 14 at that time so I didn't take them serious 😂 My friend told me on the way back that many years ago the lake was used to get rid off dead bodies during a plague, I wish I knew this before 😬 Two days later I got Malaria, maybe it was the revenge of the spirit ^^
