Big Block 78 Malibu With Glass Packs Waking Up
1978 Malibu with a stock 396 swapped into it. Stock manifolds with 2.5" duals into 18" cherry bomb glass packs. Yes the bumper is held up with rachet straps.

This is my 96 Impala ss with 3 inch catless dual exhaust with mismatched mufflers. Passenger side has an edelbrock muffler but the drivers side has a magnaflow due to a previous owner that lost the edelbrock and threw a magnaflow on. I plan on putting either super 10s or glasspacks on instead. Will do another video with the updated exhaust

This is my 85 k10 with a mostly stock crate 350 with vortec heads. It has cheap ebay electric cutouts right after the headers and two flowmaster super 44s when the cutouts are closed.

When you had a widescreen LaserDisc, was there still 425 lines of information or were some of those lines back? I thought you could point the beam wherever you wanted with a CRT, so I'm wondering if some magic was done to increase the resolution.
How much sharper, and much better the colors are with LaserDisc. I wonder if having more lines of information helps image quality.
Glasspacks 100% all the time everywhere
JUst bumped into this - great that some of us are still using the LaserDisc format. I have a 50" Panny Plasma hooked to a Pioneer player and still does the business! And if anyone has Dolby AC3 hooked to a AV amp with the demodulator the sound does surpasses the dvd/bluray/UHD realm. Thumbs up sir😀

😂 Big block Chevy Malibu. They were a low end blue collar worker's car & never came with any "big Block" V8. You need half headers with an H pipe & Super 44 series Flow Master mufflers to get that rumble pop throaty sound on 2.25" - 2.5" exhaust pipes. Sounds like crap man.

LD is sharper but this was recorded with an HD camera so it brings out imperfections that you normally don't see watching a VHS on a CRT. I've seen VHS on my 1080P and even 4K tv and was able to make it look decent.
Well that's definitely false. The quality of this video has nothing to do with the fact that it was recorded in HD. How is it gonna "bring out" imperfections that aren't displayed on the screen? The reason it looks like this is because of the interlacing on CRTs and the framerate of whatever camera you're using, which would show up regardless if you're recording it with an SD or HD camera.
I'm saying when you're watching VHS in person on a CRT it looks better than on an HDTV, but can still look decent on an HDTV but the imperfections of the format are more noticeable when shown on the HD format. Of course, it also depends on the quality of the tape you're using. Some can be noisy, and some are clear. I've recorded video of a VHS movie on a CRT using an HD camera before and the picture was very clear because the tape was good quality. Now, go troll somewhere else. @@EvanOz85
I’ll never understand how people think glass packs sound better. The flowmasters sound so much better. Maybe that’s what I heard growing up and it’s just what I like

No it isn't. Jurassic Park's 4 laserdisc releases in the US were all in the film's original 1.85:1 aspect ratio then letterboxed (black bars on the top and bottom) in order to fit in a 4:3 aspect ratio CRT tv. The VHS is either pan and scan or open matte 1.33:1, I'm not sure.
@@rs52594The VHS is definitely pan and scan. If you compare the the 2, the VHS has less picture information on the sides but the height is identical.

@@hermitcrab9250 You recorded this video in 30fps, which means only one set of fields is showing up per frame. That’s like half the resolution just gone basically. I recommend shooting in 60fps if you record a CRT
