This is a lovely room. I consider the creator of this channel to be an artist, and it is said that art should surprise, provoke, and even disturb us a little. That being said, I come to the attic reading rooms for soothing inspiration. The artwork above the bookshelf in this room feels very jarring. I hope to return to the attic reading room, but I may take a break for some time.

This scene is very appealing! Love the random stacks of books to peruse, and the bookshelves look stocked with plenty of good volumes to explore. But first, I think I will just park myself in front of that enormous book at the desk beneath the window and read, read, read!

Perfection! So many books to explore, ample lighting and comfy chairs. Settle in, readers; we will be here at least until the rain is over.

Amazing window!

Oh, I love how the bookshelves just go up and up! And the lighted alcove is quite intriguing. Is that a Spirit at the window, hoping to be let in on such a cold, wet night? Perhaps one of the subjects in the paintings on either side of the window might have pity on you, Spirit; they certainly are eerie. Too eerie for my liking, in fact; I think I will select a leather-bound volume to peruse and head back downstairs this time.

I would want to spend so many hours here reading and relaxing.

Beautiful soothing retreat for booklovers who need solitude. Seect a book from the shelves, curl up in that leather armchair, and escape the everyday to the soothing backdrop of the rain on the window.

So appealing and so much to love in this attic retreat! The beautiful window, built in shelves full of browsable volumes, and the scrollwork bracket are my favorite parts of this room. I would take those books off of the chair, but otherwise, I would bring a cup of tea here and be happily ensconced for hours!

Now this is an attic library that invites book browsing and quiet reading with plenty of light. The artwork subjects are a bit off-putting, and I am a fan of not putting items on chairs. Otherwise, near perfect and very appealing.

Beautiful window elements; lots of light. Subtle variety in shapes and soft color elements in the rug, lampshade and decorative items.

The guitar is a nice touch, as are the carvings on the window frame. What is the oddly shaped curved thing hanging on the bookshelf to the left of the curtained window?

Those candles in front of the portrait make me a little nervous...fire hazard!

The warm lamp on the right is nice, and the view out the window is interesting. Not sure if that is a view of roof lines or large boulders, but it is pleasing.

This is a great scene! The room is clean and pretty orderly, yet still inviting for book browsing and day dreaming. I appreciate the sunshine and plentiful lamplight. The artwork is friendly with clear images. A great space in which to relax and enjoy one of the many volumes from the well-supplied shelves.

The perfect get-away for serious reading and study on a blustery day. I plan to read each and every one of those volumes! Although I might have to move one of the nice lamps onto the big desk to read in the late afternoon or evening. Especially nice are the warm hardwood floors, and the pretty area rug helps make the space cozy. I appreciate the variety of shapes that appear in the room: the oval window behind the desk, the globe or round frame on the top of the left bookcase, the round half barrel, and the round bucket of books or logs on the floor contrast nicely with the angularity of the bookcases, desk, and side windows. I also like that the portrait above the right-hand bookcase is somewhat "legible," that is, it is easy to decipher its subject matter. I hope that is a real leather chair beneath the oval window; what a perfect spot to curl up and read while "watching the show" of weather outside!
