It not sad. We has parents and grandparents tht our responsibility to teach and carry our Dine ways. To teach and talk to kids has their growing up so they go on teaching. U don't teach them their lost and don't know the life of Dine and the language and circle of life and to eat and be healthy and to learn to teach them. yes, we have two life to learn to balance both world. It sad today I see parents and grandparents are lazy don't teach their kids and their lost and kids are lazy they don't want to learn. Like I said before.. we have parents and grandparents and elders. we our the teachers and dictionary book to teach them. Even if don't know learn go bck reservation and learn and to familys tht know the traditionals. Tht the only way u learn. No phone only for emergencies 911, No loud crazy music hahah tht not our teaching. if want music sing n Dine the beauty way. I know my ppl can learn their just lazy! I know.. I was once didn't no Dine words bc all my life was off reservation born off reservation away. Came bc to my ppl I learn it and it hard u just b positive than comes back to u naturally. So it not sad.. their just lazy Dine ppls. Dine ppls learn it not to late to learn. It never to late to learn.. walk good path think good path of positive and good path living two worlds and good path of being healthy n life. Do all tht bc we all has him plus on mother earth we all live once. Do all good and learn your cultural. Not just Dine to whole world .. tht lives two world tht are dark colors and browns colors, yellow skins.

You want to see what a real struggle to find "balance between two worlds" looks like, follow a 'half-breed' Navajo/Caucasian around for a while: The white people are all suspicious and dismissive of "that mexican guy, And the Navajo never accept you because youre "that white guy". And then you can sit back with me while we watch the two call each other racists. Its fun. Zzzzzzz Ive met all these guys. Kyle is a very sweet soul.

Now in 2022 it is too easy to focus on material things like money, houses, etc. It is easy to forget about spiritual health and development. I adopt the Bruce Lee philosophy - Absorb what is useful and discard the rest. I try to follow Dokkodo - The Way of Walking Alone written by Musashi Miyamoto I believe it is a great way to live. The 21 principles of Dokkodo: 1. Accept everything just the way it is. 2. Do not seek pleasure for its own sake. 3. Do not, under any circumstances, depend on a partial feeling. 4. Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world. 5. Be detached from desire your whole life long. 6. Do not regret what you have done. 7. Never be jealous. 8. I feel I was so privileged to have been able to experience the four corners area in the mid 1980's. We were installing a pipeline system with about 25 Navajo men. I remember the first time I arrived at the Aneth Trading Post most people spoke Navajo, it was like another world, a fascinating and wonderous world. These many years later, I wish I could reconnect with some of these men, to talk of how the world has changed and if their world has changed. Leaving the road we would pass many homes of sheep farmers, many were hogans and we did our best not to disturb. Thank you for sharing this look into your family, your Dine, hold onto your traditional ways as fervently as possible
