0:32 is exactly what i did aswell and I hate myself for avoiding this game for so long. I played it I went in with low expectations and after my first playthrough i fell in love with it for it's unique style and gameplay. Sure the story is meh but the community overreacted thier a$$es off so hard that we'll probably never get another Metroid game like this. They act like this is a super man 64 type game. And the prime games are "good" but i hate that it forces you to play in first person for 99% of the game. So i'm hoping this game get a remaster on switch 2 or they just need to ad a third person mode in prime 4 and i'll be happy. It's my third favorite game in the series and one of my favorite games of all time. #metroidothermremastered

I have only ever played it back then, so I'm fuzzy on the details of my first experience. I don't recall having had much of a problem with the control scheme. (Though things might just feel off now, just like holding my GBA SP feels off). I feel like the story wasn't that bad back then either, dunno if that's because the subs I had to read (am ESL) were more accurate to the JP script than the EN voiceover, or I'm just gaslighting myself here. One definitely needs to read a summary/interpretation that takes details lost in TL from the JP version into account (mostly the script and how lines were delivered). Definitely won't turn the story into gourmet cuisine, but at least it makes it a little more cohesive in some aspects. Honestly just glad more people seem to come around to disembark the hate train. And glad you enjoyed it.

I actually have played the gamecube version. There's a lot of annoying bits for a first time player - particularly the mirrored jumping statues part. Most of the game, I d say, falls very much within the general quality of gamecube/dreamcast era games. Also, that the wii u version as b-roll? I notice a lot of bloom.

Such a shame this got cancelled, right when X showed up too! I think this comic was pretty meh until the final issue, which was incredible in my opinion. Too bad it shoved pretty much all the important action and a brief look into Wily and Light’s past into that issue only. Since you brought up Fully Charged, could you cover the Fully Charged comic someday? Not sure if you knew about it, but it’s a very interesting continuation of the show.

This video is honestly the most I've seen of the remake. I think this newer style make its feel more like a pop up book since every single character stands out more. Like everything blended really nicely in the original, but considering the paper aesthetic, I actually think what I'm seeing of the remake works better. I can also say there are nice details from the footage I don't think were in the original. Like when you open the 1000 year door, in the original I do not believe your entire party is there with you, just the professor and whatever party member you chose to have out. Giving more opportunities to have every character on screen makes it feel more like a journey you are all going on. I normally am not too big on the soundtrack of a game I love changing (unless we're talking about that Dragon Quest 11 shit) but shit, everything I'm hearing from the remakes soundtrack sounds amazing, I've got 0 complaints. Happy you enjoyed the game as much as I did Chris, and I am looking forward to finally checking this one out myself. Probably sooner than later. If it came at a time when I had less expenses I would have purchased it the second it was on the E-shop. But hey at least this delay will encourage me to get a physical copy instead. Yeah I think the graphics of Donkey Kong Country are fairly timeless. Like I could 100% see someone making an indie game in this style, over preference rather than necessity. Donkey Kong Country is one of my favorite platformers. Definitely my favorite of the SNES era.

I remember liking the Advance games back in the day, but 2 was easily my least favourite. I remember the bottomless pits and beginner traps, but the approach to the Chaos Emeralds was bollocks and I REALLY hated chasing after the bosses, especially the one that gives you Knuckles.

Great take here, I did play it back when it released so nostalgia is strong, but going back to it the graphics are still great. I think brotherhood definitely builds on the game systems in a lot of ways but the story carries this for sure! I love the artwork you put in as well fun take!

This anthology is pretty cool, I was introduced to Carnage through Spider-man the animated series so I’m not that familiar with him but I liked this example of this him. And yes the Joker has had his fair share of bad writers, especially in the new 52.

6:35 they haven’t added Zero Mission to the Expansion Pack yet but I’ve got my fingers crossed, I just started playing Metroid Fusion and it’s great.
