Brigham has been proven repeatedly to be in error in his "prophetic" revelation. Adam-God theory... Blood sacrifice ... Some Temple practices/ordinances... Polygamy (truly initiated by Brigham and never Joseph). Brigham had 55 wives ... Murders of a group of pioneers and blaming Utes ... Priesthood ban for Black saints, DESPITE Joseph having/practiced no ban and more recent prophet lifting the ban... More examples are available, but these will suffice.

Sounds like carefully scripted/teleprompter speech to rewrite the true history. But, Brigham Young led & was leader of, only about 1/3 of our LDS Mormons of the entire Church. Also, human trafficking... blood atonement murders of Mormons by Brigham Young henchmen, the liquoring up of Indians to kill passing wagontrains travelers, including women children (and steal their goods including any gold), and the attempt to exterminate Indians...being omitted in this speech. :.

And here we are 70 million abo&%#ons later. How is God not destroying us even now?!?!?

Elder Penrose's comments @ 46:00 could be further clarified by more revelation on the subject, received by President Joseph F. Smith in 1918, as found in Doctrine & Covenants Sec. 138. This section explains beautifully and in significant detail what Christ did in the spirit world during the three days his mortal body lay in the tomb.

We see this same lawlessness today. Disregard of the Constitution since the lawlessness against the Saints.

Read the Book of Mormon the scriptures explains it clearly what happens when we die. It is important to draw close to God by praying often, reading the scriptures, doing good to others, and attending church regularly. Hope and charity require a humble heart. The goal is to qualify ourselves to return to God's presence blameless. Daily repentance is required and never sin again in order to be truly forgiven.😊

This discourse was wonderful to hear . I love listening to the words of these early church leaders . Thank you .

I attend Sacrament meeting weekly so I can partake of the blessed and sanctified emblems of the Sacrament. By consuming the bread and water I receive the blessings, that I might take Jesus' name upon myself, that I might always remember Jesus and His sacrifice for me, that I might show my willingness to witness of Jesus before God and man, and the ultimate blessing, that I might have the spirit always with me for guidance. I know when I accept the stated blessings of the Sacrament and volunteeringly make those blessings into my personal covenants, that I receive the blessing to have the Holy Ghost as a constant companion, becomes a promise. I make the blessings into a covenant and my relationship with God changes because God loves covenant makers. This weekly process keeps me on the covenant path.

To think this TIMELY talk was given right at the time of the U.S. Civil War ! Eternal principles never dim or vary . We thank thee oh God for the Prophet of The Restoration !
