I've never seen this movie before. Tell me, is he supposed to be legitimately retarded in this movie, or is that just how he comes off in this scene? Also, if he is retarded, why is he in a suit in an office? What kind of job does he have?
what kind of accent is this supposed to be? sounds like 90s douchebag/surfer wannabe. not only is the delivery bad, but it's also a really dumb conversation...
Do ppl not realize that this is supposed to be a dark comedy? This role was never supposed to be played straight. There are plenty of Nick Cage roles where his acting ability can be called into question, but this is not one of them. People say alot about this movie, but few have actually seen it.
Dennis, the prominent Quantity Surveyor...
i feel bad for the therapist talking to such an asshole
That’s what you call the art of subtle acting
i think i would have the same reaction
If I was in that room I'd be ROFL !!!

ALLLLLLVAAAAAAAA. Most underrated movie ever!
He'd make a great preschool teacher.
I still can't believe Nicholas Cage used to be this crazy.

He's basically experiencing a psychological breakdown over the course of the film.
and you call yourself a psychiatrist
Nicholas Cage is a national treasure
Damn ya beat me by 2 years
Wow Simon Hellberg made it more accurate than I thought
Why is it that i'm from NYC, yet can hardly tell where that is? Park Avenue somewhere?
that's seriously the biggest question based on this scene? XD
Hilariously OTT.
YOU JUST PUT IT IN!
THE RIGHT FILE!
Sploogiezl Noodle ACCORDING TO ALPHABETICAL ORDER

I would of enjoyed this 100x more if instead at the end he said "Then what the fuck do I pay you for?" But it was still pure gold.
He is the best!
Not Good
Gotta love Nic cage!
Simon Helberg plays Nicholas Cage better than Nicholas Cage...

His acting here kinda reminds me of Ryan Gosling.. Except the alphabet part.
OUR PROPHET!
The only part of the alphabet Nicolas Cage has trouble with... The B's.
Don't remind him. It burns him up inside.
UNDER MY EYES! MY EEEEEYES! ARRRRRGH!
BRILLIANT
Stephen is always charming and attractive.
Am i the only person who thinks this is funnier than "Not the Bees"?
With a performance like that, how did he ever make it big?xD

Indeed.
The next time I get really angry, I'm gonna say this. :D
King of Overacting!
My favorite lines from this scene: "That's all you have to do" and "I never misfiled anything, NOT ONCE NOT ONE TIME"
+eduard1518f "yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep"
ABC: Always Be Cageing
DEF: Don't Ever Forget
malcasablanca GHI: Great Helberg Impression
JKL: Jovial Kenny Loggins.
TheQueenFan9 MNO: Moonstruck's ... Not Obnoxious?
PQR: Preliminary Questioning Round.
Nicolas Cage should teach Pre-School kids the alphabet.
"That's all you have to do!"

he can't even process the idea that someone might misfile something hahahaha
"Thanks. It's mine."
