The build quality isn't the same as the old model Vann Staals, serial numbers 7000 and below, but many would disagree. I became a fan of Okuma.
Great informational video. How should I fish it in early March? Live bait rigs? Artificial?
They’re wild animals. Not your pets. Don’t be surprised if they attack you or try to eat you.
@UltraMagaFan2 Last time I checked, your domestic pets are still wild animals that people have turned into man's best friend, no? Cause a dog isn't at all of a wolf pack. A dog is technically a wolf at the end of the day.
@UltraMagaFan2 by the way, we were just having fun. we were trying to help a Pelican that was wrapped with fishing line. That's why I was lying down talking to the Pelicans. The Pelicans were completely harmless and didn't even break the skin on my hand.
@ All species of pelicans are federally protected under the migratory bird treaty act of 1918. In the United States it is a minimum of class A misdemeanor to domesticate them and keep them as a pet. It can be punishable by a minimum of a $10,000 fine and/or a minimum of 6 months in jail. The only people that can legally keep them are licensed wildlife rehabilitators. However, they are still obligated by law to get the birds back to a healthy state and release them back in to the wild. Pelicans ARE NOT and WILL NEVER BE pets. And I don’t care that you were interacting with them. That’s completely fine. All I was saying is that you shouldn’t be surprised if one bites you or attacks you. They’re wild animals and they don’t know that you’re not going to hurt them.
@UltraMagaFan2 I think we can both agree that you and I both hopefully know that we made this video as a harmless joke to them they weren't even breaking skin. I've worked around Wildlife with the Calusa Nature Center & and Planetarium. i don't blame animals for anything they do to me. We were down there feeding tarpon for a video when we ran into a Pelican that had fishing line on it, and I was trying to get the Pelican to come over to me, but it was under where I was at. No hard feelings sometimes with the world today. People see a video and jump to serious mode. We know what was going on. However, the viewers don't have any problems!
Thanks for the info. I'll be there in May. I'm hoping to catch a spadefish and a red grouper
Never know you could find me out there. I've been known to show up out there.
Yeah and buy a bailess reep next time bro !!! To give a demo on how to use etc and show us appropriate details
There is a demo of using must reels without the wire arm it has it's pros and cons.

Bill fisher Rods are very powerful and very underrated. Thanks for making this video. I just ordered one today
post more videos brother please they help me
I had a reel like that before i went into fly fishing and believe it or not i would rather fish with one of those reels than with a spinning reel. Spinning reels are too troublesome with line twists, tangles, and wind knots. The absolute best way to fish saltwater is free lining. The best reel for free lining is the one featured in this video clip. No need for casting. Just let the line dangle like in fly fishing and flick the bait out there and youre set to go
be careful. Those things eat entire boats and steal sharks or goliath groupers when ya hook em. Be careful holding one especially considering they can swallow you whole
Not everybody be clear senior citizens do not need license to fish in Florida be more clear in your expression of license for Florida this way people will understand that seniors have rights to fish without license thank you!
@marcoortega8458 Correct. Florida residents over 65 with proof of age and residency do not need a license. However, non-resident seniors over 65 need a regular non-resident fishing license to fish in Florida. You're welcome!
Show us catching the fish!
I know that spot lol
Water was pretty bad the last time we made a video there. we saw the Peacock Bass, though they didn't want the worms. The other spot is the canals by the 7-Eleven off 82 If you know you know.
Sadly, a lot of the waterways in that area are like that.
It's disappointing to see all the trash in that canal.
Yo lets go fishing
Becuna
Merry Christmas. Hope your folks are still with you!
Great reel I use mine for crab snaring.
What a great time to be a kid. I was the same age about that time.
Subscribed and liking take us to more fishing places i do all my fishing in SW Florida on Charlotte harbor im always up to learning some other places to go im thinking even the canals along alligator alley do you buy your fishing bait and equipment at Fishin Franks in Port Charlotte? I currently live in Massachusetts but am moving to PG permanently soon
I normally buy my bait at the bait station in Fort Myers before I do any saltwater fishing anywhere. If I'm going north to places like Venice or Tampa, I'll buy from a local bait shop before I go up that way. Otherwise, I'll just try catching bait. I've been to Fishin Franks a few times and like twice before their old bait shop burned down. I mainly fish a lot in Fort Myers, but I'm likely going to start doing some freshwater videos.
The spillways on burnt store road are closer and have tarpon and snook to Punta Gorda
And just don’t vote down here like a typical masshole
@DenisBurke-vb6vh canals on Burnt store are all part of Alligator creek?I have never had much luck there but soon will be a resident of Eagle Point park with its own fishing pier so I can still fish alligator gator creek when not on the harbor.
For a $10.00 fee to get in think it might be worth it
Or was it an alligator? Either way i remember the talk about it.
And isnt that the same place Floridas biggest Crockodile lived?
Interesting, i was there last october and it never struck me to fish in the exact same place you are i parked a little further up where the power lines are be back down to PG in September so think i might give it a go.
The title sounds bizarre but "Ding Darling" is a very unusual place. Wading with a cast net might be OK on the bay side, but the "Refuge" side has Alligators. No wading allowed!
@woodystemms3799 Yeah, the title is from how they call it on Google.
Looks good I’ve never had barracuda
you guys seem cool. what is the 11;11 in the dec? Also what is the best fish to eat from FL saltwater?
Great questions Ryan, while the 1111 to some has a meaning that I'm very much aware of the reason it shows up has some thing to do with RUclips seeing the pound symbol for our PO BOX. As to your question about the best saltwater fish to eat that is a tough question to answer because so many saltwater fish have amazing flavors personally my favorite fish is the Mangrove Snapper they have some times a nice flavor of crab and also sheepshead are nice. I'm still looking forward to doing a catch and cook for Snook still but I've struck out on the times to keep snook due to work and personal life.
I like me a red fish marinated in ginger and garlic ( teriyaki sauce ) and then I broil it and eat it with rice noodle and peanut sauce. Yum
What if your military and a resident of Florida as well as a Florida resident (not visiting)

Can u do more bowfishing with this one more
Yeah I'm going to the biggest issue I have currently with my arrow is these arrows turn a lot of fish into bait rather then edible.
Awesome video
Also works great around rocks. Helps free your hook from snaps a lot of the time. There's one spot there in Ding that's horrible for snags. I used it while grabbing some sheepshead off that spot. Good video BTW.
Waaa???
I was told back in December there's no cast netting on the left side at all, and if you were on the right side, you had to be in the water. The guy at the guard shack told me that. I've actually seen people get ran out of the grass on the left side by staff several times. They told everyone there no fishing or standing in the grass on the left side. Told us we could fish off the culvert just not in the grass. I rarely fish on the left because some of the photographers know no personal space. Had one lady set up and start leaning on my wife during the winter.

Bro who are you
This dude is clueless. Like fingernails scratching a chalkboard I can no longer listen past 1/3 of this video. Never again. I will not get this time back in my life.
You make good videos to about how to turn off the breaker and water for the hot water heater. Been 4 years and only 20 people watched it. They found it about as useless as this video.
@@FishingFloridaWater😂😂😂😂
great info thanks buddy!
So basically its a reel without a bail. Thanks for 9 minutes of nothing
You needed a RUclips a video to tell you what a Bailess reel was. Now that is a short attention span that you need a 10 second video clip to tell you what it is. That's hilarious.
I'd recommend using your mobile phone next time and asking whatever phone bot you've to tell you what some thing is like "Hey Siri What's Zero Divided by Zero" you wouldn't need to waste 9 minutes. Surely you with all the evergladeelectronics you should have one working device that can do that for you.
I think we should go out there again but with trash bags and some of those grabbers.
Thx for info I was wondering the purpose hehe
Hey The Fishing Florida Water , I watched your video on youtube. I loved that. I hope the best for you. I have some special tips for you to grow your channel faster Thanks.
Thanks for your reply ...I want to catch 1/2 n 1 kg salt water bream I want to know that circle semi circle or what shape of hook will be better .
Which type of hooks good to catch sea bream
Depends on the size I want to catch and the size bait I'm using. If you use a big J hook and they've small mouths, then having get hooked isn't going to be easy. If they hook, it is too small, and the fish is big, and the fish swallows the hook, and then it might be harder to get the hook out.
Is ur string kinda loud when u shoot? I’d like to see some more videos about the bow very cool
You need to set your nock point. And a safety slide on that setup ASAP.
Already have arrows with safety slides on them as far as the nock point. I currently don't see a point in doing that. Maybe when I talk with local archers about it and hear what they've to say, I'll take it into consideration. I know the safety is somewhat important, but that nock point is the main reason for the one guy going blind in his one eye. I believe had his line not gotten stuck in between the nock point, the chances of that nock coming back at his eye wouldn't have happened even with the extra line both played that rule happening to him.
*promosm*
There's 9 minutes of my life I'll never get back 🥴
Sorry you feel that way. Maybe other people won't feel the same way.
@@FishingFloridaWater other people feel the same way
@@evergladeelectronics Well we can't please everyone we focus on trying to educate anglers who really want to get as much information to fully understand things even with the rants however we will try to do our best for people with shorten attention spans. The problem comes in when people aren't given enough information and just told some thing then people might end up with a lot of unanswered questions.
surf fishing journal actually gives an excellent tutorial on the use of bail less reels.. i prefer bail less for casting 16ozs.. of crab snare and bait.. should have kept your van staal..
Na bro Van Staal is a meme reel. Only the Googans think it's a good reel. Almost every Spinning Reel can be converted into a Bailess reel.
My new idea put leader line or steel leader with circle hook in stores just tie to line with bait
The problem with using a steel leader is most of them won't touch the bait not saying all of the Snook and Tarpon won't but they can see that steel leader in the water. I've heard many people say to stay away from Jewelry. Which means avoid using stuff that doesn't look natural.
