A short video of clips showing footage taken of and from my Father's Austin A90 Atlantic in England and Switzerland in the 1950's. Early in the footage (at about 0:26)is a close up of a woman sitting in the back of the car. This was during a parade in Cornwall in 1950. She is supposed to be someone who was quite famous in 1950's England, but I have no idea who she is and I don't recognise her. ...
The early footage is in Cheshunt, probably at the carnival as at 0.38 it shows FOYLES which was Dad'd sweetshop.
I know who the "quite famous" woman is sitting in the back of the A90. There is a really clear shot of her at 0:25. Her name is Dorothy Dazely, and she is well known because her son is Sir Cliff Richard. You might not think this is right, because Cliff's real name is Harry Webb, but Dorothy didn't marry Harry/Cliff's father until after 1950. She was still going by the name Dazely in 1950, having just returned from India where Cliff was born.
that story works perfectly my dad is driving the car and he said he knew Cliffs family and always called him Harry Webb .
