What did Trey say in the first 15 seconds of the video?
Why in the world you wouldn’t show the interior of the bag is baffling.
Why would you not follow the card to an entire video on the interior of the bag..
@@Cineformation_ByTfive Your title threw me off. I guess I was supposed to know what’s in your mind too.

Just crashed my DJI Air 2S at a shoot... I want an Avata too just haven't pulled the trigger yet
Great drone but its cant replace what the traditional drones do for sure!
Hey quick question, I think I saw where you had a short of an m.2 nvme ssd on the Ronin 4D instead of their overpriced Pro SSD. Are you using their Pro SSD mount USB C port with that? And it works no issues? I have been reading how some people are having trouble using non DJI SSD so just trying to ask someone who has gotten it to work.
I've always loved fpv drone footage, its crazy that guys strap entire cinema cameras to a custom fpv drone! The Avata seems like a good place to start FPV for me, I plan to get one eventually.
We highly recommend it. Its a great drone. The challenges come when you start flying manual
Thanks for the unboxing. I would love to enter in your giveaway.
I’ve shot the MOST AMAZING ARCHITECTURAL still images ever on this stilled I was soooooo surprised, the images were so sharp and so much dynamic range it looked like an animated digital cgi.
That's amazing. We need this feature, yeah?
great ideas, but how about doing an exposure preview, aka for assessing or calibrating white balance, sensor noise, luts, and having this file to colour calibrate the footage when in software or for focus calibration of lenses, ie a reference photo, and also for the techs when diagnosing problems, so you can 'screen shot' the monitor for all settings at a glance, to save time in the repair shop.
Subscribe for me please
Just saw this man, great use of the 4D. How did you mount it to not block the sensors underneath?
Unfortunately the sensors were blocked. Still performs as needed because the tripod is on a fixed height. The distance from the ground would have to change drastically
@@Cineformation_ByTfive makes sense! Thanks.

Terrible sound recording
Terrible profile picture. This isn't a dating website anymore.
Love BM. I have 3, but would love autofocus for gimbal work and 2nd cam when I'm one man gunnin it. Great vid
your sound is so bad almost as bad as the lighting hahahaha
Thank you for the feedback! As a returned favor.. I would suggest working on the quality of information you provide. Doing so might result in higher views, more agreeable comments and brands actually wanting to work with you.
Great. Just when I thought I was done spending money…. How do you mount it to the hydra? Does it use the same mount that came with the hydra?
Hey. So tilta has a mount made for speed rails and I got speed rail shims from Amazon. Works great
@@Cineformation_ByTfive appreciate the reply! I actually just posted my hydra for sale. I just can’t seem to get anything useable out of it. Disappointing
Where can I get the cold shoe mount to relocate monitor?
Amazon search cold shoe monitor mount by small rig
Having used the 4D, one of the main benefits for me is the batteries. I can't even imagine having to deal with a gimbal battery, monitor/recorder battery, camera battery, focus motor battery... If one of those goes down the whole system goes down. To have only one battery to need to worry about is so freeing.
Exactly! Couldn't agree more
DO YOU HAVE ACCESS TO DJI RAW LICENSE FROM THAT?
Sorry but no!
Hey trey, how good is the Z axis of the Ronin 4D for micro-vibrations? We are considering buying it solely for this purpose and attaching it to our movmax arm (similar to Tilta hydra). I am just unsure how effiecient it is in real world applications for fast car chases 60mph +
Here is my sample video when I was promoting my tracking service. So with the correct balance, settings and lens you will get great results. Now I don't think I ever did 60+ but on straights. ruclips.net/video/pVYr_icDJqA/видео.htmlsi=vhcPIt7zNXRVMb8a Hope this earned a sub. ☺️
@@Cineformation_ByTfive Cheers mate, subscribed ;)
Lol, shaking it is just a way to increase the bad effects of rolling shutter for demostration or test purposes, you can suffer it when stabilizing or solving cameras on vfx shots but if you never notice it good for you, save the money
L
💀💀💀 rolling shutter is not only about radical camera movement , it also effects on fast objects because it is actually sensor's reading speed. if you take a shot like inside of a car and want to record whatever you see on your windows most of your scene will be like jelly.
L
agreed. a lot of my vlogs are affected by it. i hated a7iv for it.
brother pls answer my question that if rolling shutter speed is 20ms and shutter speed is 1/16sec(62ms) so brother frame has information bw 0 to 20ms brother am I right ? Thanks for your help
Rolling shutter for fast moving objects (like helicopter blades fast lol). It’s a cinema camera for a reason, it’s 1,000lb camera cause it’s not meant for run and gun. No continuous AF, terrible AF in the first place and not auto mode. Two years with the 6k pro and never noticed rolling shutter other than in shots I never use
For real 😂
Give the option to auto focus Manual is always available anyways if tho we good with auto focus .. Now or later these cinema camera are fonna have auto focus anyways
I have to disagree in the world of professional filmmaking but completely respect you wanting the feature!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the latest Sony Burano cinema camera has autofocus.
@@GarCorStudio doesn't mean it is used for professional filmmaking. If you want to get on a set soon follow my community. I will be doing mentorships soon! You can also Google "is auto focus industry standard on filmsets"
I personally don’t use autofocus, but I recognize technology is ever advancing to the point that these “tools” are becoming available. At one point, it was laughed at when someone suggested filming with a dslr, the Red Tails was made with the use of the Canon 5d. My point is, it is just a tool, similar now to AI which can aid in the arts. The Creator being shot with a Sony mirrorless camera was nothing new, but yet showed us as creators, that we should not put a cap on technology and its uses, regardless of what Google says based on “industry standards”. Keep up the good work, by the way.
Good vid. But braw is not a full raw.
You are right but the point was to spec on how it's compared to compressed footage. Oddly that's what people try to compare it too. No one compares it to raw raw because in performance and size it out performs raw 🤷🏾♂️
@@Cineformation_ByTfive the word says it all compressed. Everything is cleared, but Braw is “compressed” as well. Fair fight is prores vs braw. We all know who is winner. I mean nobody takes stuff from bmcc but you lobby it, paid or benefited. That is what i do not like about your video otherwise. Good job.
I have the 6k and I do want a better form factor. It would make running it on my gimbal a lot more convenient
Maybe you have the wrong camera if your shooting on a gimbal that much? I say that with respect. Maybe you should have a Zcam
@@Cineformation_ByTfive I don’t shoot a lot on it but the form factor would be great for that as well as rigging on steady cam too. I love Blackmagics color science. I think what I’m gonna do is pick up an ursa especially if they come out with an FF version of it
@@MontageMediaCompany I hope that happens

Thanks for this. I agree with everything you had to say. Blackmagic cameras are beasts!
It took me leaving Blackmagic cameras to realize it sadly
How is the audio quality with the shotgun mic? I am contemplating renting this system for a bts shoot so I would need good audio from the shotgun mic.
It was good every time. The 4d is actually very quiet
ronin 4d for a cellphone shot ? Over my head i guess.
Correct
Hey man can you leave us some links to find the suction cup and other bits and bobs, tried looking but cant find anywhere :(
Do you still need links?
I have just taken delivery here in the UK of the 8K Ronin 4D combo which includes the SSD and DL native zoom lens (17-28mm) its a beast!!!
Great video, I’m curious as to what your trripod setup is for your dji ronin? what would you recommend?
I am using the smallrig heavy duty tripod
just taken delivery of the 8k combo with the DJI 17-23mm powered zoom lens!
That's awesome. I love the camera. The ecosystem but DJI ruined the user experience for me. Video coming on it soon.
@@Cineformation_ByTfive please do tell what happened as my experience with DJI has ben good
I just got the Irix Cine 30 mm for my BM full frame 6k too. Why not going for L mount lens instead of PL?
Business strategy. Thank you for asking. I have a video on the topic coming in early 2024
How is the flex when used with the regular hydra alien and not just the soft spring module? I’m thinking of using that set up for car roller shots. I’m thinking it would be better as it’s lighter instead of the entire 4d mounted but I’m not sure of balancing and performance because it’s light. Thanks!!
So i tested out mounting the 4d body to a custom plank of wood. Weighted it down in my trunk of my 4runner. Since the 4Runner has a rear window. i would roll down that window with the flex on my tow hitch mount. Works just as fine but the body gives x2 z axis stabilization.
Has anyone else noticed the file size is massive?
Yup, ProRes is huge. Choose your resolution wisely
I just go to FPV mode and shoot it sideways then hope for the best e
You should be working with Hot Rod Cameras
That would awesome!
Grace, Peace and Appreciate this… I too am a Ronin 4D owner and love it for me. I have and tried gimbals such as the DJI RS2 Pro and as awesome the science and concept it is the time it takes for set up especially when changing lenses/ weight for balance just wasn’t good for me. But when the 4D was introduce it was to good to believe such a camera existed. A 4 axis operation along with other functions was just what I needed and hoping for! In regards to a couple of your credible points I think of two things that help those issues. In regards to the weight are you and viewers aware of the the PGYTECH DJI 4D backpack? It’s specific for the 4D and the awesome thing about it is that it’s perfect for the next suggestion… the DJI Ronin 4D Flex that’s extension cord that connects to the Zenmuse X9 gimbal that you can disconnect from the 4D body. Both helps reduce the handheld weight! These two helps greatly the two issues you present, but my only disappointment with the Flex is when you use it you no long have the 4 axis, just 3 like with normal gimbals, but still all good when you get what you ultimately get from the camera…… Awesomeness. 🫡 Again and thank you!
Excellent video! My Ronin 4D arrives tomorrow.
Thank you
Did you guy actually buy them?
I did
@@Cineformation_ByTfive Happy with your purchase? I still have not pulled the trigger
@@nyambe yes. Very happy. I am hoping they make a L mount version soon. I will buy the set then too @samyang
What did you buy to mount your mic to the ronin? I couldn’t hear you or we’ll could hear the name of it. I plan on picking it up for my ronin
Not sure but I believe searching 3 way cold shoe camera mount can get you to it
what is you aim? could you not use ur legs instead?
In settings when using firmware puck you would put Af in Ac/acc control. Otherwise autofocus will go all over the place.
Good video, but need to watch at double speed! 🙂
Thanks for the tip!
How’s the focus breathing on these?
It is very smooth and consistent. Should i make a video on it?
I am curious about the performance of autofocus when utilized in combination with Ronin 4D. These lenses are not on the DJI compatibility list. Is autofocus functional without an external focus motor? How well does the autofocus perform?
Being that the AF of the Ronin4d is not based off the lens AF completely and more dependent on the lidar. It is the same as my 24mm sony G lens. With that said the AF from just the lens has shown more accurate focus than the lidar.
I'm sure they're working hard to make it so, but I don't believe Samyang/Rokinon have confirmed yet that the 20mm or 100mm will adhere to the unified form factor claim in terms of weight. The launch of the 20mm has been pushed back versus their original projection; which may indicate the challenge of keeping its weight down is causing a delay. Maybe you're already aware, since your splash showed only the other lenses. My 4D did not activate the tally light, which I was happy to accept. But the fact yours does gives me hope Samyang or perhaps DJI can make it work as intended. Nirvana will be if Samyang come up with a power zoom which matches the primes' colours even if it has to be heavier.
I am confident the lenses will all be uniform
@@Cineformation_ByTfive I am too, but I can't help wondering to what extent performance aspects are taking a back seat to achieve their goal. I'm not even complaining since uniformity is the big attraction for me, but designing six disparate focal lengths to be the same small size and weight has to require genius or compromise.
