Pelletskamin med vinande ljud. Ljudet ändras då jag rör i två kablar. Vid just det här tillfället stod den fläkt som är synlig då man tar bort kåpan, stilla.

Matthew Newton Hi Matthew, The traps can be purchased from a company in Sweden, Harmångers Maskin & Marin. Their webpage is maskinmarin.com The traps come in different sizes and different size mesh, depending on the target fish. They can be from vendace to salmons!

wonderfull, its forbidden to fish in some of these areas, but its perfectly fine use these huge trapps to catch these salmons. The politicians in this country are so stupid, and toxin levels in the fish from baltic sea is so high that its not allowed to sell it nowhere else than in sweden and all the women who are pregnant are recomended NOT TO EAT salmon from baltic sea.....so how good can it be ?

This type of fishery follows all the rules and regulations as set by the authorities. The Commercial fishers would not consider setting their trap in areas where it is not allowed, or fishing outside of the correct season. They adhere to the rules very strictly, as not following the rules would have very serious consequences for them. The placement of traps is monitored by the Swedish Coast Guard. If one would be in the wrong place, then the owner of the trap would definitely get a call or a visit from the authorities. You are right that levels of dioxins in the fish of the Baltic and Bothnian Sea can be high. However, the levels of dioxins varies geographically. In some places it is within the levels set by the EU. A map of the levels of dioxins can be found on this page (in Swedish): www.lansstyrelsen.se/Gavleborg/Sv/miljo-och-klimat/sa-mar-miljon/miljogifter/dioxiner/Pages/dioxiner-i-fisk.aspx Unfortunately, dioxin can be also found in meat and milk. The source of the dioxins in our environment most probably stems from Eastern Europe, through air deposits, which then ends up in the water or on the grass - which cows and other animals eat - then ending up in what we eat (this is from the same link as above, from Livsmedelsverket). www.livsmedelsverket.se/livsmedel-och-innehall/oonskade-amnen/miljogifter/dioxiner-och-pcbInformation about the risk and benefits of eating fish from the Baltic Sea area can be found here (both in Swedish and in English):www.livsmedelsverket.se/globalassets/rapporter/2007/2007_12_fiskkonsumtion_risk_och_nytta.pdf?_t_id=1B2M2Y8AsgTpgAmY7PhCfg%3d%3d&_t_q=dioxin+fisk&_t_tags=language%3asv%2csiteid%3a67f9c486-281d-4765-ba72-ba3914739e3b&_t_ip=130.243.10.228&_t_hit.id=Livs_Common_Model_MediaTypes_DocumentFile/_13fdea8e-106c-4ab9-9aeb-c7d333f968b2&_t_hit.pos=4 www.livsmedelsverket.se/globalassets/rapporter/2013/2013_livsmedelsverket_21_risk_benefit_herring_salmonid_fish_ver2.pdf

I know that they follow the rules and regulations, The problem is the idiots behind these rules and regulations.

It's not a fish hatchery. It's fishing with a type of trap-net called pontoon trap. It's used very much in the Baltic as it keeps catch protected from the seals.
