One of the greatest Tesla pros is their highway charging network experience. When doing 90% of our charging at home, all EVs provide the same charging experience. But try taking an EV6 and a Tesla MY on a highway trip and the Hyundai will quickly provide an excruciating one way trip to hell. Finding working chargers, waiting at a two charger facility to finally get a chance to charge. Tesla clearly shows how their investment in Superchargers has paid off. Thanks for another great video.

I think the biggest pro, is the fact Tesla has the largest public charging network. I use to own a KIA EV6, it was headache to find a charger for it. Those charges mostly came in only pairs, broken, poorly maintained or vandalized. That lasted two monks, I just purchased a Model Y long range.

These issues dont even bother me lol

Con: if you just use a super charger all the time that ends up adding up to paying for gas or probably more

I’m at 2 months ownership One of biggest cons for me is a lack of a spare emergency tire. But you can order one online. But still lol. And of course the biggest pro is not buying gas. Double pro if you have a level 2 charger at home.

For the miles, they just recently sent out an offer to pay for more mileage. It’s called energy boost and should you be in your upgrades in the app. It’s $1600 for 50 more miles of range… bringing it basically the same price of the Long Range if not cheaper.

That was a great video. I got a 2024 Model 3 RWD two weeks ago and I absolutely love the car and have had no issues with it yet. Owning a Tesla definitely makes it hard to want to drive a gas car again.

Another con which isn’t so much Tesla, but being in Texas, is the $200/yr extra registration fee because we don’t pay gas taxes. I think that’s kind of an expensive up charge for owning an ev. I just got my MY LR & I was hit with a $400 fee added to the registration fees. 🤔

Congratulations what accessories did you get? Also, I was reading you’re supposed to go in the touchless car washes and not the regular because the Tesla paint is special and can scratch easily if you don’t get the protective film on it.

Also, the fast acceleration and the weight of the batteries will mean that we will be replacing tires at a faster clip....

I'm in San Antonio and I travelled to Austin to get the car earlier. I could have waited until one was delivered in San Antonio, but I was impatient. When I purchased an Audi several years ago, the car that I wanted was also in Austin and Audi delivered it in San Antonio for me. Tesla didn't even make that offer and I suspect that it might not have been "free" anyway. I also thought that the pick-up experience wasn't as good as it could have been.

I've had the Model Y LR for 1 month. My biggest issues right now: #1: wipers in auto mode are sub-par. #2: It's ridiculous that the Model Y doesn't come standard with homelink for garage/gate door openers. Yes, I know about the $350 purchase or the MyQ purchase/subscription.

Mine are on auto on my m3 and they work great. You can also do a voice command for the wipers or press the left side button on the wheel and choose wipers and then the setting.

Salinya, think about getting your front bumper PPF (Paint Protection Film). I got my Tesla done here in Cali for $400 and I have zero rock chips on my front bumper after 3 months of ownership. Looking forward to your future content. 🙌

Not sure what you mean by Tesla number and prompts? The best way I got a hold of Tesla was contacting my local service center and they provided me information.

Just for the record lenox oaks is in a nice area. You can call it River Oaks/ Upper Kirby. It's right off 59. The street It's on Drexel goes right to Westhimer's River Oaks shopping center. It is actually right down the street from Wesleyan where Alexan River Oaks is at. Just clarifying for those that want to be in the area lol.

I was thinking of moving to Lumen as I like the area and during my hunt I realize the area is what matters most to me which is a mixture of being super close to stores and basic needs like grocery store, gas station, bank, park, a target lol kind of a suburbs in the city is my vibe. It’s also pretty and walkable in comparison to some other areas in Houston in the loop. I didn’t like how I tried to reach out to the leasing office with questions and it took them several days to get back to me when I called and emailed. Someone later told me that they know people who have moved there and the walls are thing which is the main issue at my current apartment. During my apartment search I purposely looked for apartments that were made of concrete as that helps block noise. My favorite apartment was 10xheightswaterorks but they didn’t have anything available to fit what I needed for when I need to move. Another one I think is nice but never got around to checking it out because they also didn’t have availability was Theparker it’s in rice village which is another area that has all the things I like when it comes to an area to live in. I also went to AvenueGrove it’s like an unknown apartment but it’s right by levy park I was told they actually built the park and is really nice. It’s near upper Kirby another nice area. It wasn’t my style more of an industrial style with the exposed ceiling. Modera is building a new apartment near the Lumen apartment but closer to whole foods it’s called Modera Waugh but it’s pretty pricey. I think the just started leasing.

I live at Alexan Junction. We moved there in Aug 2023 and got lucky to get a 4th floor unit with a view of Downtown. We really wanted the 5th floor but they were all leased. After being there for several months I will say the noise from Studemont and the trains coming through is bothersome but I’ve gotten use to it. I def love having my shades up all day and night bc of the downtown view. Our other issue is that you can hear your neighbor walking and it is loud. You can’t hear anything else just their walking. I’m light footed but I wonder what my sister and I sound like to the person below us. Other than that I can’t hear anything from the neighbor next door or above me.
