Few people know how China runs the world biggest HSR system and still able to keep every train punctual. Remember each train has to arrive on time, discharge its passengers, take in new passengers and supplies, like the takeaway meals I have ordered with web site 12306, and leave the station at precisely the time published in advance. I rode 12 HSR trips going 10 provinces in China in November 2024. Yep China did it! The train may occasionally arrive slightly early but always depart as scheduled like a clockwork. Countries like UK is busy building its second HSR lines but some HSR trains in China are now in "well used" condition. In China there is no drama in HSR but just a way of life. I believe Chinese HST among the cheapest in the world. For my 12 ticket rides the distance covered was 4,974km and the total cost was 4,357 RMB for a couple. Thus my HSR cost in 2024 averages 0.57 RMB/km per person. That is US$0.098 per mile! I chose my journey/route for train speed as high as possible so the range was between 250km/h to 350km/h. For departure I often selected time around 10am after a comfortable breakfast and check out with the hotel. The seats around us were never empty and my guess the HSR trains had to be 90% full at least.

The route is served by North Fitzroy depot, which all of Kinetics Volvo B7RLE buses are based at. Doesn't really surprise me that you saw this. Then again the video was 2 years ago and a lot can change. As of now, route 202 is served almost purely by B7RLE's with other Fitzroy buses also making appearances. As soon as they swarmed into service, 1201-1206 would be transferred to Sunshine West and then again to Doncaster a few months ago.
