    You say to hang it at 56.25 inches. What if I don't have room in my garage to fit my cars and I want to hang it high above, basically over the cars on the wall. Would it hold the weight? Is this a bad Idea? Does the bottom of the rack bare some of the weight on the floor?

    • @bryceowen7758

      I'm not sure I understand the question. The rack is secured via the garage mount that is mounted to the wall before you place the rack in the mount.

  • @djwanye83

    Why not let the rack lean back more so full size truck tail gate can open all the way?

    • @bryceowen7758
      @bryceowen7758 10 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your question! Throughout all of our iterations and parameters to make the best product that fits the most needs, this one didn’t make it. With ever evolving tailgate heights, depths, and variations between makes and models, the simplest and most universal solution to the truck tailgate is our hitch adapter, providing the clearance required to fully open tailgates.

    • @skiboot1
      @skiboot1 3 месяца назад

      The real reason is the farther you have the rack away from the hitch the more leverage and forces are going into the rack. The rack is far too bouncy and uncontrolled when it sticks out far enough for a tail gate to open.

  • @bruce20092
    @bruce20092 Год назад

    I have really enjoyed the 6 bike rack I have. For simplicity I have decided not to mess with flipping the hitch around. I just leave it in the 90 degree position and mount the rack to my wall with the back of the rack against the wall and the hitch post facing me. its mounted to the wall "backwards" but unless you plan to strap the rear tire of the bikes in place, this makes no difference other than the tilt of the front tire to the left instead of the right. If you were to race, this method will take about 1/10 of the time and eliminates any need to mess with the pivot. The height is aprox 2" higher but for me that is irrelevant and its worth the savings of time and effort. I recommend you publish another or appended video using this method for those who find the hitch pins confusing. Personally I am super impressed by the engineering and love the slow-recline feature. Great job on this rack.

    • @bryceowen7758
      @bryceowen7758 Год назад

      Great points Bruce. Yes the Optional Method (as we refer to it now) that you mention is much faster. We are actively working on video and written instruction updates so both methods are known.

    Thanks for posting this. How close to the wall can the bikes actually pivot? For example, the large mountain bike on the left in your video - can you pivot that until the handlebar end or pedal contacts the wall? Or is the rack itself the limiter? And (in that regard) how does it compare to a Steadyrack? Which one gets bikes closer to the wall? I'm looking for a solution that will pivot my bikes as flat/close to the wall so that I can fit my car in and still open my car door. Your current marketing materials aren't very clear as to whether or not that's a strength/benefit of your garage rack.

      You'll likely need to pull on them by hand for a few seconds to extend the dampers just a little bit further. I know it won't seem like they are moving but a little pull will lengthen them so you can insert the pin.
