Video of my own design DIY tennis ball coupling system for a Clark ST mast on an own design field mount. The ball provides torsional and linear shock buffering for the antenna and the rotator. Thanks for watching.

What does the bulb on the left side of the tank bezel do
Agree with below 👍brilliant tip.
It's one long tube. Should be made long enough to give you enough to stop engine before it sucks it out.
i made one, used aft, but then the bike sucked it out into the throttle body, what is the trick to keep it there ? my tubes were not seperate ones, ( do they need to be ? ) i used one long tube bent in half as it wasnt clear if they need to de 2 x individual tubes, the same length..
Hi i have a 53 plate and when you disconnect the switch only the rad fan comes on.
Thanks , i build 1 today , have a r1200 2008 , went for a test drive , no backfire , thanks again
As we are primary users of the band just doesn’t seem to make any difference as commercial interference is taking over.
would have been helpful to see how you wired it up!!
Great video , much appreciated as was looking to check rear fan , thank's for the info
You have to set the idle with the Big Brass Screws first, then set the higher rpm balance with the RH cable at the throttle body. All of this should be done after the valve lash is checked/adjusted.
My TF is 2002 and does not have pektron. Do you know where the switch is?
Fantastic. Great tip
Spot on mate! Brilliant demo. Thanks for sharing.
is the club still running?
Is the tube a single continuous loop with the fluid at the bottom?
Sure is, one big tube, fluid in centre. Strange but have just moved this manometer today in the garage. Amazed I still have it after 11 years!
2E0VZZ thanks for posting. I work in a lab and have access to miles of clear tubing. This will cost me nothing. My R1100R needs to be synchronized bad! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
2E0VZZ how high above the carbs do you feel I should route the tubing? I dont want to risk sucking any of the fluid in.
@@seanr5470 mine was about 1.75m tall but use a long length of tube and just observe, the 2-stroke oil won't do any damage if you did suck it in..be ready to stop the engine if it rises very quickly
Thank you. Great explanation.
Nice to see that 18el LFA doing a turn. 73 de Steve M0KOV
Nice one, I'll expect 6 pts off you tonight with a 59 report. M0DCD
Nice one Alan
Brilliant. 73 Steve M0KOV
ARRRGH ! You only showed half of the solution, what did you turn adjust to achieve a balanced reading?
Good hobby I worked as wireless OP for sometime in forces some 25 years back but still I haven't lost my grip. Welcomeearners appaji
They look perfect.. The beer, have you got a hoard? M0KOV
Its with my toilet rolls in a secret bunker!!
Fantastic Alan, you can come round and sort out my tyres later!
Absolutely magnificent 73 de M0KOV
Or buy a manometer for 40 quid n be done with it?
why do that when you can make one for a fiver
Well done , great contact , m3pza :)
Thanks friend, enjoyed it a great deal.
M0lsg, I still get flustered on qso, it takes getting use to
He was a great contact for your first contact he was a great operator and very understanding your circumstances
Thank you Glynn H, Yes he was a very good operator and took the time I needed. Great to have him in the Log.
good
thanks mate been looking for this for ages, exellent vid
I tried this on a buddys vstrom and the fluid was jumping all over and couldnt get a good reading
Want to give this a whirl on my 2011 R1200RT. I bought two vacuum guages, but they are not identical so back to drawing board. This manometer ide seems like a better plan. Only challenge: Can't adjust the idle screws as it has stepper motors for idle control and synchronisation (GS911 required for that), but it should work fine for over 1000RPM to see which throttle body is sucking harder.
Useful video. Thanks.
feckin idiots.....that was funny
That's awesome. Did you post how you did it anywhere?
¿Only the 2004 and 2005 MG TF had 2 fans, right?
no mine is a 2003 and that has two fans
veri goood, thanks to idea ande information, single and practic, Eliandro, sao pulo, Brasil
Hi , you should adjust anyting one the left hand side . All the adjustment are made one the right hand side . All you need to do on the left is set the BBS to 1 1/2 turn out and set the cable adjuster so the cable is just slightly slack to make sure that the throttle closes when you close the throttle . The rest is all done on the right hand side
lovey car m8 working on one myself for a project but mine a mgf 👌
I did not get any información i expected. Not how to build one nor how to synchronize.
Thanks for the comment. Shows we are not alone. Apple don't appear to be interested though, not a call generator!
Me too
Very helpful - thanks. For those who don't have a lathe, maybe use a pillar drill - or drill held in a vice?
Which do you do and in what order, cable adjustment screw or mixer adjustment screw.
Valve adjust, idle balance (with the BBSs, then high RPM balance.
nice and simple, i presume that for 4 carbs we need to hook the 4 hoses with t connectors, but i believe with will work the same way
