There is your mistake right there, you didnt mention this precise point that makes all the difference in this situation. Wondering into someone’s backyard through a side path of the villa because no one replied to the knock on the front is not the correct course of action. Maybe most of the ill-informed posters here live in apartments, if you dont answer the doorbell, does that make it right for the visitor to come through your apartment window to tell you your music is too loud? 😂 sounds like the Scottish man made a poor judgement or entitled himself to wonder about someones private yard. Get your facts right.
