@@flo-photo yeah tried that, but sadly it doesnt work and the stabilization gets messed up as soon as I copy the composite clip in another timeline.. would be amazingly smooth if it would work!

hi there and thanks a lot! As far as I know of, there is no licence or anything needed. I also didnt get approached by anyone, flying a mavic 3 and also fpv drones which both do attract more attention than a mavic mini. Just stay away from the airport side of the island and keep an eye out for the small water planes and you should be good to go. Enjoy your trip, its an amazing place!

Happy if it helped! Overall I do think Gyroflow can achieve better results than the in-build stabilizer, but of course its a more involved workflow still. I do think Gyroflow gets less artifacts but of course there is also limitations to its capabilities

Yep its not much faster if you think in steps of workflow, but Davinci is much faster in rendering than the gyroflow app with ProRes, I can directly apply color grading and any other editing I want to the OG-File and the exported „master file“ is still much smaller, ofc depending which codec is choosen. Also it works better with how I structure my data base which is dedicated to Davinci, thats no problem if we talk about 1-10 files, but when you start to have hundreds of clips scattered on different folders or even ssd‘s, it gets more important

@@JoelSharks There maybe a speed advantage. But, If you go two steps of compression you want the first to have low compression whichever editor is used first. So, ProRes for the first render for either workflow. No file size advantage either way.

@@markr041 and btw, something I only realized by now, with this workflow even if I render in Prores 422, I can get smaller file sizes as I can stabilize, render snd export only the parts of the footage that i need and not the whole clip. I dont know if the gyroflow app can do it too, but anyway it is much more intuitive for me to do it in Davinci 🤙🏾

Hey thanks a lot Rafael!! yes indeed my first Vlog, but I work as a videographer so that surely made it easier :) It is a bit touristy and of course what you dont see on the videos is all the people that are in the water too but its not too bad in my opinion and I saw much worse. I would say the days we were at the bay, we averagely had 10-30 people in the water and the bay is fairly big and the mantas travel around in the bay, so you can always get away from the crowd for a moment. Just for the experience of freediving with all the Mantas, I think its definitely worth it as most people stay on the surface and if you can dive down a bit, only a handful is down there with you. It does makes it tricky for Photo and video and I had to get very strategic to find good angles with nobody in the background. Season also plays a big factor. I think September/ October is the perfect timeframe, as its monsoon season, so less tourists there and its also the peak time for the mantas as they have the most plankton availability. Over all a great place and up there with other great spots I dived at, the combo of Hanifaru bay and the great scuba diving makes it a really nice spot. Ah and whale sharks can be found but ofc its all about luck. As a reference, during our 14 days there, we had 3x at Hanifaru bay and 3x whale shark interactions
