I wish the Electric Mice Orchestra could've become successful; they are so amazing. I also wish that Captain Andy's River Towne had stuck around, and this comes from a 2000s person.

There was 2 of these still in existence - one in Warren PA and one outskirts of Pittsburgh PA. I believe that both of them were upgraded, eliminating the skylight dining room. Shame. I remember when nearly all McD's and BK had these. The intro graphic is neat. Just critique of your vids: Your narration needs to be recorded with a real studio microphone with no room echo. I recommend a Shure microphone, even a used one with a thick foam cover should do well. You dont need a studio padded room either for perfect sound. A cardboard box lined with glued padding, big enough to surround the microphone, making a recording booth, but just for your head and microphone. It will sound much better.

It’s very rare for the staff to not let you record and I thought San Jose was the only one! Left like that because the pizza time theater had 2 floors but they remodeled it a ton and this is the 2004 phase 4 remodel everyone’s favorite and child hoods phase

This one in Hicksville has this huge dome right next to the normal McDonald’s and the big dome has the place inside it and it’s huge

Update: The Pizza Hut relocation is complete and this Pizza Hut is now open in Peckville, PA. This space is now being used for a convenience/vape store.

Proud that tunkhannocks nostalgic pizza hut is basically becoming a landmark and national treasure 😅 im seeing it so much on touring sites and ppl talking about it in comments on social media. This place does a lot of business despite being so close to so many pizza places and only 45 min or so from "the valley" which is by many considered the epitome of pizza. Also the staff here is always great, and food always good. Everytime I go with my parents my dad asks for coke (they are a pepsi product establishment) and we remind him its pepsi no coke, so its become standard to put a piece of paper on the cup that says "coke" for him 😂

It's a shame not many people know about them

the two in the museum scared the absolute piss out of me as a kid, they just lurked there with their dead eyes. but there was something alive about them.

I knew I remember there was a Showtime that I went to as a kid, and not a "ShowBiz Pizza Place". My mom took me there many times to play arcade games as well as Top Dog in Wilkes-Barre. It was the closest I can get to a CEC which didn't come to the area until the 90's, and that was already a different type of place.

Great video! Back in the 1980s my family would always go to a Pizza Hut in Bryn Mawr, PA (at West Lancaster Ave and North Merion Avenue) and I seem to remember it was darker inside, darker walls and brick perhaps. Of course it had the tabletop Pac Man game and a jukebox and we always put a bunch of quarters in there! there was a fire department directly across from the Pizza Hut, and one of the highlights would be seeing a firetruck race out if we happened to be there at the time! That was exciting for me as a young kid, anyway! Unfortunately, the Pizza Hut has long been closed but I believe the building is still there although it seems to have been reconstructed or refurbished. The only other Pizza Huts around me where I live now are all take out only Pizza Huts.

Where exactly is this? I’m not familiar with that part of Pennsylvania. The chain has apparently announced. Some of the restaurants are gonna start staying open late nights. I wonder if this is going to be one of them. Also, curious if there were any video games in there like back in the 80s?

I remember when there was a Kmart in Central California 5-7 years ago. According to my parents, everything there was overpriced and of low quality. Its a shame that a piece of retail history is gone. If Kmart had renovated its stores, kept up with modern technology, and had better product to sell, it would likely still be alive today, but it wasnt the case.

This was your best video to date, adding in old pics of the mall was quite the trip down memory lane. Can't believe it's been 5 years since Kmart left. Sadly tearing down the mall meant the end of the best rock club in the valley The Staircase....

Sad that the company made tghe unwanted decision to get rid of their animatronics in 99% of their stores. Maybe they should rename themselves "Dave & Buster's 2.0".

A few things about your accuracy: 1. The opening date is correct 2. Actually, it was converted to Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza between September and October 1, 1989 according to newspaper sources I found, but it was merged with Showbiz Pizza until around 1992. 3. Pasqually kept his latex mask until 2011, but Helen and Jasper kept theirs until January 2012. It was the last location ever to keep Helen's latex mask and the last US location to keep Pasqually and Jasper's latex masks. As someone who goes there locally and a Wikipedian editor, this video does have some newspaper sources and many documentations, but some information is missing.

Great video! Unfortunately the condition of a lot of the characters has fallen out of hand, so even if Knoebles wanted to bring back the show, they would need to replace a LOT of the character's faces and other parts as well. But it would be awesome if they managed to bring it back somehow

I miss my old McDonald's play place because for me it was REALLY BIG and I mean REALLY BIG with a lot of tunnels and stuff, which is why it was so fun! But they downgraded it and I wish the old one was back

I've been to 3 Perkins restaurants in my lifetime, one in Tunkhannock, PA, one in Cortland, NY, and one in Williamsport, PA while I was in college. My favorite menu item was pancakes.
