Justin Salloum is a pianist and composer from Trinidad and Tobago. Justin began playing classical piano at the age of 5 and focused primarily on classical performance until the end of his teenage years, performing in countless recitals and concerts. In 2010 he discovered his new passion - music composition - and it was not long before he fell in love with it. Justin believes that music is a way to share stories with others, and the process of composing your own music is special because of the unlimited freedom you have to do whatever you like with the music. He combines his Classical and Romantic influences with a modern cinematic-type sound to produce a unique musical genre in his compositions.

I remember 105.1fm saying that the greatest anthem for soca will always be Machel & Destra’s “is carnival.” I beg to differ because this track with Patrice shows perfectly how flowing on a rhythm, harmonization, lyrics, arrangement, melody, and vocals are supposed to keep one’s mind engrossed from beginning to end and still feel that raw energy and baccahnal at the very same time. 2023 and beyond. No way Destra…you’ll always be second best to Patrice in my book. Peace.
