Warehouse Arts District St. Pete

Our district runs from 1st Avenue North to 10th Avenue South and 16th Street to 31st Street. For decades, much of this area was industrial (and part of it is still zoned as such), populated with warehouses and small manufacturing companies. But artists saw potential. A warehouse has special appeal to those who like to work large or need heavy duty equipment. There are already approximately 200 artists, arts businesses and organizations within the boundaries including Duncan McClellan Glass, MGA Sculpture Studio and the Morean Center for Clay which has occupied the Seaboard building since 2000. warehouseartsdistrictstpete.com/about
WADA & Rise St. Pete - 9/11 Commemoration & Phoenix Awards
September 11th at WADA’s ArtsXchange Campus was a special free event co-produced by RISE St. Pete and WADA. The event commemorated 9/11 and presented the inaugural Phoenix Awards, recognizing individuals for exceptional community service. This year’s honorees include Zulgeil Ruiz Ginés, Colonel Jay Powers (Ret.), and Professor David Manson.
Hosted by 10 Tampa Bay’s Courtney Robinson and featured speakers Kevin Lockerbie, Celeste Davis, Colonel Jim “OB” O’Brien, and Mark Aeling, the event also featured students from Admiral Farragut Academy, a flag-raising ceremony, and a performance of the National Anthem.
