I should def try this. I used to be super anemic & my iron still isn’t where it should be. I physically can’t eat meat, like I was born into a vegetarian family then had some meat based trauma (long story), tho my dr suspects I may have been bitten by that tick that makes you allergic to meat bc my reaction is so extreme. I did find those capsules of hemi iron helped a lot w/o GI issues, though they did make me nauseated at first. Idk if it’s psychological, bc I know it’s basically capsules of freeze dried beef liver, or if my body needed to get used to them. Unfortunately they’re fcking expensive. Like over $75 a month to take the amount I needed to get my iron levels moving up. And that’s on top of all the other supplements I have to buy bc apparently I don’t absorb nutrients as well as I should from my food. And the stuff I take in the hope of helping with my ME/CFS & some other issues. When you’re desperate you’ll try anything, including extreme diets and spending an insane amount of $ on supplements when you don’t even know if they help. This is also a lot easier then using a cast iron pan which is so hard to take care of and is so heavy it causes me pain go lift it. Again I’ve been willing to try all sorts of things & this seems pretty easy.

I just got a new fancy form of iron today - it's liquid, in glass vials, looks kinda like blood, made in France, and says to add it to water or drinks OTHER THAN anything dairy, tea, or coffee, as those will affect the absorption of iron. Matcha might not be the best option.. But yeah, it does say to use a sour juice or add lemon juice for absorption..

Fun fact, cereal is fortied with iron. You can take a bag of cereal, crush it up, mix with water and use a strong magnet to separate the iron. Just think thats neat.

Don't take this within 2hours of drinking milk or calcium supplements.. it affects iron absorption.. sane goes for iron supplement tablets

My sister takes her iron pills with pineapple juice because the acidity helps it process! Idk if you will ever try pills again, but it was helpful for her when she started, so thought I'd share :)
