Harmony's Dragons is my channel for growing dragon fruit plants and other tropical fruits. It's dedicated to my niece who passed away due to an accidental drowning in their family pool. Growing my plants and continuing to live on doing what I love. Uncle misses you and will always love you. Take care of grandpa.

@The-archive-of-knowledge I gave up on these somatic grafts. Easier to create new hybrids from seeds and grafting the seedlings.

Hi, their do you sell cuttings. I'm interested in buying a cotton candy.
@MiamiRareFruitTrees I do sell cuttings, we are propagating more of it so we can have more to share next season.
So its not self fertile?
@robkeller3431 the one from Hawaii is suppose to be self fertile. But the one from Trinidad is self sterile.
Why is the riser covered in burlap?
@Hyundairobitdog the riser? You mean the trellis post? Originally for the dragon fruit aerial roots to hold on to. But they tend to hold moisture and cause bacteria formation. They last less than a year in the post. So for future trelis builds, I no longer use burlap.

@@harmonysdragons2610 OK, thank you. It's my 1st flower bud ever, so a bummer. Interesting is that my rooted cutting is only 18 inches long and doesn't even have any branches.

It would be great if we have a list of related varieties. So we don't polinate with their sisters.
@cansarratt3407 there's a list somewhere. Mine is a mental one from what I've learned and shared. There's too many that are related, and so many noids that can be. So just experiment in your yard and take notes of what worked and didn't work. What gave you big fruits and small fruits. If you have questions, you can always ask me.

@kevinkc3onohelijeepworld953 Every now and then, I'll check with a soil meter to make sure it's within PH 6-7. But I don't worry too much about the PH. I worry more about finding a balanced draining medium to plant them in. You'll find that some plants like a lil more moisture and some can't handle moisture in the soil for long periods. So, I no longer use compost in the mix. Only a layer on top during the dry season. During the rainy season, it's sunshine mix no. 4, coarse silica sand, and perlite. I'm currently experimenting with using safe t sorb instead of coarse silica sand. Safe T sorb absorbs moisture and hold it like a sponge. Which during dry season allows the roots to feed off of them. I'll do a video on it soon.
