hey hows the stitching on them? i've had plenty of pairs of helikon bdu next trousers and the stitching always let them down
How expensive is it?
They were $125 plus shipping
I have 3 pairs of these, if they just add a stretchy waist, it will be perfect.
Hey Magaz, your reviews are really helpful I just ordered a set of BDU 2.0 trousers from pentagon and I’ve been looking for pentagon boots reviews since I need a new pair and have no idea which boot I should go for but I can’t find any (I’m gonna be using them for airborne and mountain activities if you can please make a review on some combat boots)

That’s a fair point and an obvious over sight. I will check if I actually shot any footage of the rear of the shirt and make an update if I have. If I didn’t I’ll add it to my list of things to shoot
@@magaz don’t bother just for me. I just got this video on my feed because I’m comparing the different camo patterns novritsch offers.
What I'm still curious is the fabric composition. Is it 50/50 nylon cotton or is it polyester-cotton? The latter will emit IR signatures under NVGs while the former will not.
I can contact the company and find out. I'll take a look at them under night vision when I get a chance too.
Love Pentagon clothing, it’s top quality. I am gutted that they have not adopted a closer pattern to Multicam/MTP Unfortunately Pentacamo is just not close enough to wear with service dress. I imagine Multicam ask too much in licensing but there are others that are pretty close. I would have a ton more kit from them if they did!
I wore them with an MTP UBACS one time and the difference in the patterns is drastically obvious. They are missing out on a solid market by not adopting at least a similar pattern to MTP.
I got the crye precision tiger stripe and desert tiger stripe Combat uniforms in collaboration with tactical distributors for a total of $1500 i wish i knew about this guy sooner.
Do they use bartack technique at corners? I see that Kurmaz Gear just does double stitching at locations that Crye and other replicas use bartacks.
I’ll double check and compare. I hadn’t thought of that. Which areas should I be looking for the bartack?
@@MagazReviews Most notably the corners of pocket flaps, I have an AMCU combat shirt which is basically Australian made G3 and it has bartacks as well. I recently found some CADPAT fabric from Arktis and told Roman, he purchased some and I'd be the first to get a set from those fabric but he said he can't do bartacks. I am sure that his stuff are sturdy enough but just kinda pity that the details can't match the standard that everyone uses.
Thanks for putting this up! Been contemplating Crye or knock offs for a while now but I just never really had much faith in the Emerson or other more known brands. And like hell I can justify dropping €500,- for a pair of G3's. After watching both your takes on USV and Roman's products, I figured I'll give USV a try. They have the Strata True Timber camo! I use that in my hunting jacket here in New Zealand, but never found trousers that were to my liking. A pair of G3's in this pattern sounds like the best of both worlds so I have already reached out to them! 🤩
I'd suggest TMC "ORG Cut" G3s that are said to be patterned based on authentic Cryes and so have the same sizing, got one in Tiger Stripe and a TMC PCU L5 which are both pretty solid, TMC's quality had improved quite well in recent years and the other Reddit posts seemed to agreed on the ORG Cut. But of course they don't have those unicorn camo patterns, I am in contact with Roman recently for a set in CADPAT...
I liked my BLE, i think mine was one of the first models they released, but the mags werent very reliable. Have the mags been worked on since then?
Which of the BLE series did you have? I’m assuming you are talking the first releases the Alpha which then became the XAE? The only issues I ever experienced with those magazines was breaking the base plates when I dropped them. The newer BLE pistols all come with the newer Revo valves which have greatly improved the performance over the earlier ones
I’m glad I stumbled upon this channel for looking at anyone’s thoughts regarding both Kurmaz’ and USV GEAR’s quality and construction of their pants, more than happy to hear your opinions regarding them both, and I can’t wait to order from USV GEAR someday. 😊

Please correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that because of the war, Roman is away from his shop and only taking pre-orders? If not I hope my bag that I ordered before the war is coming soon. I think only Svitlana Urusnova with USV Gear - oddly also located in Ukraine (I think even from the same city), is still making and actually shipping custom Crye G3s.

That’s correct. I wrote the script for this review before the Ukraine situation started, so it’s a little out of date now. But he is taking pre orders. You are also correct about USV. I had a pair arrive earlier this month from there.
Roman is packing his stuff and planning to return to his city and start working again. No doubt he'll be crawling under preorders though... I'm planning on getting some sort of M81 Frankenstein pants from him as well. Love this man's work

what is the fitment like, how true are there sizes ?
My pair is 30R and the waist measures 30". So the sizes seem accurate. Side by side with Crye trousers they are accurate in size.

I had to do my homework with the sizes as I usually just go for a large straight out the box. Other than that, the sizes were spot on. I opted for the ASU field pants and shirt. I've only used them once at my local site, but they worked really well on the camo front, and were super comfy.
