LOL, good ol' Scheels card! Just to help others, what are the perks on that card again?

Nice, get yourself a depth finder and take good care of that nano hull it’s not fiberglass
Thanks for Watching! I would love a depth/fish finder!
Which cup holder did u get
It is a cheap recessed cupholder, ozark trail, from walmart. The cup holder was $2.97 and just a bolt through the hole in the bottom that fits the vx mount. I have lost a can and had to go get it though. I will be switching to this one with a 3 "diameter. amzn.to/4gSAJTS (affiliate)
@AquaholicsCPA u drilled the hole yourself and bought a 20mm thread bolt?
Look up Ozark Trail Boating Recessed Marine Drink Holder, Black. it already has a hole in the bottom. Then used a 1/4" - 20 bolt to hold it down. Super easy.
@AquaholicsCPA whats the 20 stand for? It have to be 20? Why not just any 1/4
Glad you asked before using any 1/4. The 20 stands for (not sure how its measured) the distance between the threads. To explain a different way, you can have both a 1/4 diameter bolt with a coarse thread (further apart) and a 1/4 diameter bolt with a fine thread (closer together). Make sure you get the correct bolt, or you will strip the threads on your ski. Triple check the thread size for your ski before buying. Same size as go pro and ram mounts. Good luck!
I wonder if they make a flat slab conversion for the rear two seats to slap a cooler on there for a fishing setup. I agree about the fuel guage issue. They are just encouraging people to ignore the low level
I have not found anything myself. I feel like there is an opportunity for innovation and customization for these machines. Would love a swivel seat rear seat replacement like the seadoo fish trophy.
@2:24 Calculation is not the same. If tax brackets are equal, then a Roth is better due to the burden of our older generations taking money from the younger generation. AKA, you currently have more benefits you can take advantage of with a Roth when you are older, such as Medicare, reduced taxes on housing, reduced utilities, and extra stipends from other state benefits. By going Roth, you can get an extra $800 monthly without a house and much more with a house because Roth isn't calculated in any housing assistance programs. This means you could save an extra $500 to $1,000, depending on what your house is worth. This doesn't include any other assistance programs you qualify for with a Roth over a traditional one.
From a straight tax liability calculation on the funds in the plans, yes, the calculation is exactly the same. You are correct, however that pulling Roth funds later does not count as income for that future year, which can qualify you for assistance benefits because you have no or very little income. For the sake of being a benefit to society and not a drain as you stated above, I do not condone, agree with, or want to teach people how to achieve a multi-million net worth, but then cheat by obtaining assistance that is meant for the people that need it. I agree with you that this is taking money away from future generations and not healthy for society. This post is not meant to be offensive in any way. Thanks for watching.
I have both the 2024 FxHo cruiser and VXHO cruiser skis. FX definitely more stable and provides a drier ride. I’ve seen 67mph (I weigh 175 lbs) on a flat surface with the VX and 65 mph on the FX (which is about 80 lbs heavier). Both skis have unbelievable hole shots so you gotta hang on tight. Have exact same issue as you with fuel gauge. Have not confirmed whether I have latest software installed. I do enjoy both skis burning regular grade fuel and not having to deal with SC issues just to go 8 mph faster. Like your cup holder idea. Do you recall the diameter of the bolt/screw used? Also the grabber suggestion, need one of those too. Thanks for posting your review. Very accurate based on my experience.
Thank you so much for watching the video. I agree that while the svho would be a nice to have, the 1.9 HO is plenty to do anything we want to while running regular fuel. I actually use fleet farm 88 octane no ethanol gas in my naturally asperated motors (have 2019 AR190 as well). The thread size is 1/4"-20 pretty sure.
I'm 33. at 29 I had to cash my 401k out for a bad situation. But the last 2 and a half years I got the 401k a little over 53k. I am not touching it from here on out. And i contribute the max amount (6%) that the company matches. So I am hoping that the exponential growth factor really takes off in the next 10 years. Happy that I was able to make this much of a recovery and progress for now, all things considered.
Life happens. The best we can do is pick ourselves back up and get moving in the correct direction as fast as we can. I hope you are proud of yourself for contributing to get that full employer match. Thats free money and very important. Keep up the good work! Also check out my Traditional vs roth video published 12/16. Follow the prioritization to maximize your retirement and give you options in the future.
As far as the fuel gauge. For newer models, they could just add an extra digital gas gauge for the reserve portion. Either way. Yea that is ridiculous. For me it is not a huge deal as I usually just take it out for an hour or two at a time with plenty stops. Usually my gauge doesn't get below half too often. Side note, if you really want a sweet aftermarket speaker setup that mounts directly to the stock Yamaha speaker boxes. Check out my channel on the speakers I installed on my 24 vx ho
Thanks or the note. Yes, i am looking for some audio options. In my legend lake vid near the end, I threw myself off the ski and lost the earbuds I was wearing. I'll check your video out!
The ski is sucking up all that sand when you get too close to the shore.nice ski Best color on the VX
Thanks for watching! I love the color. There were a couple times it was a little close pulling up to the sandbars. It was my first summer with the new ski. Loved it and still getting used to it.
Nice ski, i'm about to purchase a 2025 yamaha FX HO. I had a 2016 yamaha VXR I sold 3 years ago, and I missed the water and riding so much that i'm finally getting back on the water. 👍
Congrats on the decision to get back on the water! There is nothing better than the exhilarating feeling of a ski on the water. The 1.9l 200hp motor has been great to me so far. Good luck!
@@AquaholicsCPA Thanks, looking forward to feeling that new 1.9 Power and acceleration 🤘

My dealer, although he said to fog the engine, said if I did, i HAD to change the oil before I used the jet ski again. Not true? I really dont want to fog if thats the case.
Sorry, that does not make any sense. You are not required to change the oil if you fog the engine. These are two separate maintenance steps, however, it is recommended that you change the oil at the end of the season (if you used it a normal amount to dirty the oil) at the same time you winterize so the oil is clean while it sits. I did not do the oil this time as I just changed it for the 10 hour service in august. The explanation of why this doesn't make sense is as follows. The upper part of the motor, the head, cylinders, pistons, and spark plugs do not touch any engine oil. The lower part of the motor (crankshaft) is where the oil is needed. If all of the seals are in tact in your motor, the fogging oil in the cylinders will not seep into the engine oil. Hope this makes sense. If your dealer mentioned this, they might be trying to scare you into having them do everything. As you can see, with all of the tools, this process costs $25 and takes 30 minutes. They are charging over $300 to do this service with a tech making $25 per hour. This is where they make their money. Good luck!!!
On my 2023 with 1.8L engine, I remove the entire plastic 'base'. If I remember correctly, there are 7 bolts you need to unscrew with 5mm Allen. If you do not want to remove the base, another 'trick' is to drill an opening (1 - 1.5 inches wide) in the plastic cross bar (above that pesky spark plug) to allow for the extension to fit. Somehow surprised you're not changing the oil at the end of the season - wouldn't you rather have the brand new oil sit in the engine the entire off season (versus changing it fresh in the spring)? .
Removing the base did cross my mind, but I didn't have a bigger allen on-hand to remove it and thought the flexible extender would be strong enough to get the plug loose. Next time, I might take the base off as you suggest to make it easier. As for the oil. It was just changed in august for its 10 hours service. I will change it at the end of next season when I winterize it. Thanks for watching. Thanks for the comment!
I am 78 years old give my grabber back
I wish to have one
I hear ya. Tough with inflation and housing costs right now. If you follow my personal finance videos, maybe one day you will feel comfortable purchasing a toy like this in your life. Good luck! Wish you the best and thanks for watching.
Looks worse in person
What does
Have you been on Lake Michigan with your boat?
I have not, but I did take my 2024 waverunner VX HO to door county all the way across from Marinette WI. I have a video of this. Was a rough ride, but an incredible experience. If I still have the boat next summer (might be selling unless people like seeing videos with it), I will for sure take it to door county bay side on a calmer day. In really big waves, I would prefer to have the smaller waverunner as it nicely drops in the middle of the waves safely as opposed to a bigger vessel that slams from crest to crest. Thank you for the question. I hope you enjoy my videos.
👍🏽👍
Thanks for watching!
Got a 2023 VX HO Ltd end of season last year. No problem with the gas gauge, goes to three bars without the low fuel buzzer going off. The 1.8 mill has plenty of grunt, as much as I ever need. After putting about thirty hours on it, I can hit about 62-63 mph on smooth water (but seldom do). I weigh about 185, so it's clearly putting all 180 horses out efficiently. I rode a Kawasaki ZXi 1100 for many years and thought it was a fast runner, but this VX is faster and, more important, much more stable. The ZXi would throw you off at the drop of a hat if you got out of shape in the least. At seventy-four years of age, I prefer to stay dry unless I want to get wet!
Thanks for your comment. Interesting about the fuel gauge on your 2023. I wonder if the change happened with the 2024's then? When there are 3 bars left and it says low fuel (Say 15% of gauge), when you fill up, does it take 15+ gallons, or does it only take around 9-10? The power on these ski's is perfect and the stability is great. On one of my videos going from Marinett WI to Door County (big water), the ski handled 5 ft waves fine. I was soaked and sore for days, but I made it!
@HydroholicsUSA Take the sat off when you fill and check the tank. You have to baby the last 3 gallons or so. You won't get the tank to fill unless you take the check valve out. The intake hose sits a bit low on the tank and the angle is terrible. The check valve floats into the hose and shuts off the flow. You won't get the last 1.5-2 gallons in less you take it out. I marked my tank as full as I could get it with the check valve in. I took it out and got 2 more gallons in it. Baby it you get 3 more gallons, take the check valve out you get another 2 on top of that.
Thank you so much for your comment! This gas tank and fuel gauge is the biggest complaint I have with the ski. Says I have low fuel with 50% left. Maybe removing the check valve will at least give 2 more gallons of use before the low fuel warning comes on. That would be nice.
You don't need that extender. I mounted the under hood bag and the soft loops that I attach everything to so you can just pull it all up by the dock lines. I just did a vid on the install recently. check it out.
Will do, thanks!
Shalenes parents live on Legend Lake!!
Loved Legend! Beautiful place.
For those of you that have a 1.9 ski, what are you getting for top rpms? Mine teeters between 7400-7500. Riva website says stock is 7900, so i am curious if i am missing some top end. 64 is my consistent top speed.
I wanted the blue one but everyone around me sold out, guess I'll get the 2025 vx cruiser ho
Yes, if you are interested in a new ski, you should make the decision by April at the latest. With my experience, they become mostly allocated after this and the color options become limited unless you are willing to drive across the country. Good Luck. I hope you can wake up to a beautiful waverunner in your garage.
Could you send a link to buy the cup holder in your ski
www.walmart.com/ip/786257168 All i did was use a threaded bolt. It works nice and extremely cheap.
@@AquaholicsCPA good idea! Thanks for the link. Looking forward to more videos. Very nice waverunner btw.
What's the song instrumental from. Its a famous song. Just can't think rn
I used a electric 12v pump took less than 4min
Awesome and congrats! I just broke mine in last week. Put about 6 hours on it during our river trip. It is an awesome jet ski!
Congrats. I've been impressed as well. Check out some of my other videos if you haven't already.
Awesome content good luck to u!!
Thanks! You too!
64 seems to be the max I saw a few other videos. That's a lot of speed for not being the "halo" products from Yamaha!
I got 68 on mine for the first 10 hours or so. Now I get about 65-66. Same machine. And I'm 280lbs
I get 66 top speed on mine. Just under 10 hours.
In the US, there is a "gentleman's agreement" with the Coast Guard to limit the top speed of any PWC sold to 65 MPH. Most are cable of going faster than that with modifications, but when being sold, the manufacturers limit them to 65.
Good strong motor you have. Hopefully you get to enjoy your machine more than I am right now (Wisconsin..cry). Thanks for watching.
