Thank you so much, Oprah.🙏 I didn’t realize how lost, powerless and helpless I felt until I watched your previous and current video about toxic relationships. I was stuck in a toxic relationship for over three decades. I separated in 2021 and finally got my divorce this March. I now understand that was paralyzed by fear, trapped in past pain and patterns. I had completely forgotten who I was, I had fully internalized repeated past projections, criticisms and beliefs. Although I held onto my value of integrity, which was the only thing that helped me survive, I felt like I had fallen and couldn’t pick myself back up. I was completely isolated, and when I reached out for help, I was hurt again. You showed how toxic individuals keep their victims in isolation, and in my case, that was so true-he used all resources to harm me when I tried reaching out. This left me repeatedly broken, and I lost the ability to trust myself or anyone. Most importantly, your definition of forgiveness is so liberating: “to release the hold of anger and resentment.” It helped me gain so much clarity and hope to move on because it was about releasing my anger and resentment. I realized I don’t have to allow this person to control or manipulate me anymore. Then, I watched your video. You gave me a roadmap to move on, helping me understand my strengths, past successes, and resilience after being in a toxic relationship for years, which felt like it had wiped me out. Thank you for showing how a toxic relationship destroys self-esteem, confidence, courage, and self-belief. Your steps showed me how I could rebuild and reclaim my power. You also reminded me that there’s a brighter future with the possibility of supportive people in my life. If not for your message of inspiration, hope, encouragement, and empowerment, I would still be trapped by fears of the unknown, of being hurt, and of failure. But you showed me the possibilities beyond a toxic relationship, and for that, I’m so grateful. You’ve given me the validation and peace of mind in knowing that someone understands everything I went through and the toll a toxic relationship takes on the human soul. You gave me the courage to pick myself up and take one step at a time toward a future filled with the possibility of being surrounded by supportive people. Now I have hope of living an authentic and fulfilling life. Thank you so much again.🙏
