Hi I love your video 😊 It was fun to watch and easy to understand. THANKYU from P3rú❤
That was cool! Can't wait to try it.
Hi, I loved your video. Very informative. Can you tell me, can you do 2 layers like this. That is, first layer a pastel picture, then a text writing on top of that. Thanks.
Yes, you can layer your transfers. Keep in mind that most laser toner images when transferred will not be completely opaque. So you would get some bleed-through if you layer on top of another image. To fix that, you need to make it opaque. I show how to do this in some videos where I paint the printed image using white spray paint. Check those out if you intend to overlap images or don't want the backgrounds to bleed through your transferred images.
@@imagetransferswithrix Thank you I'll will do. And thanks again for your help. Have a great day :)
Mine works too. I used woodprix plans and made it without any problems.
can you use your transfer paper in an inkjet printer
Please watch my videos that touches on the subject of Inkjet printers.
Great idea, thanks for sharing
It's my pleasure!
If I send you some images can you print them on that paper and send them to me please? I don’t have a laser printer to do it myself.
Unfortunately that would be impossible. You can always go to a Staples or Kinkos and have them print things for you.
@ ok thank you
@@imagetransferswithrixcan you please tell me again what kind of paper to ask for at staples for them to print it on?
@@alderbabe94 Mentioned in video (22:59) and in the description area of this video.
Can I please ask what paper you used.thank u.i am in uk
Please read the top pinned comment or the video description area.
These are lovely! I have some bright coloured glazed tiles and wonder what the outcome would be? Would the glue dry white over them?
Depends on the glue you use. Most glues dry transparent (for the most part).
What kind of transfer paper do you use? I have inkjet printer.
Please read the top pinned comment or the video description area.
What type of paper & not modge podge Whats the glue you used?
Use whatever glue you like. As for the paper, please check the description area of the videos and the comment section as it is stated there. :-)
Elmer's Extreme Wood Glue. regular Elmer's wood glue is indoor only meaning it should not get wet. Elmer's is good glue but get the Extreme for indoor/outdoor
Loved your video. Great tutorial. How would I go about transferring a photo to the tile?Would I have to have it printed on different paper. Does any site or store do this ?
Thanks. These are done with the RixCanDoIt Quick Transfer Paper. Laser printed. Don't know how to answer your last question.
LOVE YOUR GREAT IDEAS, I WILL APPLY THEM ON MY DRESSES❣️ ♥️💗♥️ Kt

Hello, what paper to use and print settings? I think that's the worst part... very happy with your success 👍

Cool video, you do a great job explaining every step! I was wondering if you do the same techniques using markers and pens with different inks like water soluble, permanent, and alcohol?
It is endless what we can do with the paper depending on how we prep it. I'm waiting on an order from Ali Express with some paint pens to use on a future video. I'm confident that anything that leaves a mark can be used.
is it inkjet printed or laser jet print out ?
Those are laser printed. It is possible to use inkjet as well if you take a couple of extra steps to prepare the paper for inkjet. You can learn how from this video --> ruclips.net/video/rRWHZSQNJAQ/видео.html
Thank you!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for sharing your techniques
It's my pleasure. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you. I am a newbie. Great tips. Will try your techniques.
Wonderful!
Great job! Just to clarify, I do not need to purchase transfer paper. I can print out a pic from my HP Laser Printer and coat with modge podge, etc. Thank you!
This particular project was done by TRANSFERRING the image onto the wood slice. You could glue the picture and cover with mod podge or other sealer, but the effect will be that you have glued paper onto the wood. Transferring the image only is preferred as there is no evidence of paper being glued onto the substrate. :-)
@@imagetransferswithrix thank you. I had print shop print out pic and I will glue onto wood with modge podge, I will try without purchasing transfer paper.
bro, this is a game changer. Will it work with a ink jet printer as well?
The paper is not designed for inkjet. However, it can if you use the tips I show in this video here ---> ruclips.net/video/rRWHZSQNJAQ/видео.html
After you transfer your image onto a coaster, do you need to seal it to make it water-proof from the beverage you place on it? Thanks!
I would. The paper only transfers the image. It doesn't protect it. That you can do using the proper sealer for whatever you are protecting it for.
Great Info! Can this paper be applied to other materials such as plastic, cardboard, glass, etc.? Thanks!!
Yes, absolutely
I have not been able to find any stores that have Keyon easy-tack adhesive 7020 in stock and they say they don’t know when or if they are going to get it in what can I use instead of Keyon
Any brand 'easy tack' spray will work. You just want something that will hold the powder long enough to heat it on the image. I search online and usually find on Amazon. I've added links to various sprays that will work in the description area of this video.
This was very helpful!!!
Glad it was helpful!
AWESOME MAN
Thanks!
Beautiful family picture. The name tags looked like you went to a convention?
I have unglazed ceramic tiles. Can I use these
Certainly.
Thanks for sharing. I have your paper and will definitely be giving this a try.
Wonderful!
Got the paper and now I need to find someplace to print. Walgreens just said nope they won’t allow it. Anyone have any suggestions??
Is there a way to do this with keeping the original glaze in tact? (Not etching)
Yes. Check out my video on doing this here ruclips.net/video/z1LBTFwB0jQ/видео.html
Is an image printed on your transfer paper similar to a rub on transfer you’d rub on with a popsicle stick? And would you still suggest using the etch medium with a rub on transfer?
No similarities. You cannot rub the image onto anything. It must be glued. As for your etch medium rub on question, I couldn't answer that. I don't use any rub on transfers.
This was so gratifying to watch, easy and it came out so great!
Thanks so much 😊
I notice that you tend to miss the upper right corner when you rub a finish on the tile with your finger. You cover the other corners 3-4 times but only hit the upper right corner once.
I'm not sure how to respond.
I saw that video about your using mod podge more now and am going to try that. It looks amazing. Thanks !!
Yes. As long as you pre-treat the paper first with a 'very' light coat of clear protection.
Thank you, can I varnish my piece with Liquitex varnish please?
It won't hurt the image.
@@imagetransferswithrix thank you
Do you recommend a technique for applying gel medium when it’s a larger surface? I’m using unfinished wood planks and using finger isn’t practical. The foam brushes are meh. Thanks !!
Those are the only two ways I apply it. Foam brushes or my finger. The finger is just to make sure you have 100% 'wet' coverage (not dry or tacky) and there are not hard bits from the lid of the container. You may want to watch my most recent videos on using Mod Podge after spray protecting the transfer paper. Then you can be a little more liberal with the glue (Mod Podge) and use the foam brush (or whatever you like) to apply it.
@@imagetransferswithrix thanks. I’m currently trying to find a commercial printing company that will use your paper. So far Walgreens has shut me down. Heading to FedEx next. Anyone reading this with their recommendations or tips on that is appreciated. Buying a color laser printer is not possible since I won’t use it enough to justify the $$$. I have a inkjet.
@@larainewoodruff3739 On the subject of inkjet vs color laser, you'd be surprised at how quickly you'll dump your inkjet if you owned a color laser. Unless you are printing photos onto photopaper, the inkjet ends up costing more in ink than you'd spend on color toner. Color laser printers print beautiful color pages for everyday use and as you've seen in my videos I use it for pictures as well. There's also no need to run a color printer through cleaning cycles that eat up all your ink which is $$ into the dumpster. With that said, let's go with what you have. Some folks go to one of those 'copy' places. If you use any of them, do not STACK the paper in their printers. Tell them to feed one sheet at a time to avoid sheets pulling in other sheets. Or, you can try out my 'inkjet' trick. ruclips.net/video/rRWHZSQNJAQ/видео.html
@@imagetransferswithrix thanks so much for your reply. I’m going to see if FedEx will let me do it at their laser jet. The inkjet process you do looks good too although I think it’s a finesse thing I might need to work at 😂 but it’s definitely an option ! Thanks again !
What kind of white paint did you use?
Any white paint that will stick. You can also use Gesso. I really don't pay much attention to the type of paint. I'll grab whatever is on the garage shelf. You may want to test though.
I should have watched this before I created my Van Gogh piece. How do you feel about those T-shirt image transfer paper using iron?
You mean iron onto the canvas? Not my first choice. I'll stick to the QT paper.
I’m going to order some of your paper. I’ve done many photo to wood transfers in the past and had great success but just did 6 fails and have no idea what went wrong. I had the photos printed at FedEx as usual, used unfinished wood planks as before. I used mod podge and then Liquitex. All images had major problems adhering and I’m starting to think the copy paper being used by FedEx has changed somehow. Or perhaps the unfinished wood planks are treated with something that’s preventing the images from being transferred. I’m pretty frustrated and also done with the rubbing method. How quickly does your paper ship once I order and what is the shipping method? Thank you !!!
Thanks for your order. Looks like it's shipping today! Ships USPS. I don't blame you for being tired of the rubbing method. As for the 'adhering' issue you are having, are you saying that the image is coming off when you RUB? If that's the case, then you should have better success with the QT paper as you won't have to rub. However, if you are having a problem with simply gluing your paper to something, that's a different issue. With the QT paper, you will need to be able to glue it to the wood. No need to rub it, but you do need to glue it. Let's see how this works out for you. :-)
My husband is a tree cutter….he also cuts pieces up for weddings…but he said u have to do it the day before…if u don’t treat them…

Thanks for your time, have you come up with a cheaper way to color these images?
Color the images? Don't know what you mean. These are laser printed images.
