Hello I was a Member of the Band "Jeanne d'Arc" and on this record I also played on the track of The Roman Games. I recordet the whole thing and mixed not all but a few of the tracks. For me it is very interesting to see that this old records are still somewhere out and Bern listening. This ist a relativly new upload. Very funny. If you have questions about the whole thing, feel freue to ask me. The Roman Games is the only Band from CUFA that still exists. I'm still a Member. There are some Vids on RUclips of the Roman Games. I know this vinyl exists from January when Holocaust Ride was found from 1 minute snippet and then I found the rest. So I bought it for 40 euros and there we are. 2. What happened to Jeanne d'Arc and did they have some releases? 3. I saw that you had a concert few years ago with The Alroys (The Valets), can you give me some info? 4. @@SeBaLikesThisMusic Hello, me again, but now I'm logged in and with my real username and don't have a damn autocorrection. You have a lot of questions 😃That's very nice. To 1: It was pure coincidence that I found your channel today. I wanted to check the activities on our pages, tried with the search function and then I found all the "Coming Up For Air" clips and said "well I don't know this guy - so I became curious to learn more about it. Somewhere I saw something about Czech Republic - correct? If yes, congrats again for gold on Icehockey world cup - I'm Swiss 😔 Where do you saw Holocaust ride? And where did you buy CUFA? To 2: The Band Jeanne D'Arc had two other diffrent names before JDA. We started 1985 as a school-band, when we were about 15-16 years old. With some additions/changes of the memberships, we changed to Jeanne D'Arc around 87/88. On that time we found our way to ProgRock (we called it Art-Rock) and we found the new name would match more our sound. Me and my friend of mine, who played the guitar and sings the lead voice at Take Alice, are actual or still members of The Roman Games. And we still have contact to most of the involved musicians from CUFA. As an excemple: also The Roman Games had a long breake. About 15 years long, the band was not existing anymore. But in 2017 we had our 25th annyversary celebration and our reunion. We played two gigs together with the band Former Franks, which also only reunite just for these two gigs. But this is an answer to your question number 4. Jeanne d'Arc was on a other sampler (LP) before CUFA but had no other releases. One name before Jeanne d'Arc we recorded a demo-tape under the name "Top Secret". And I still have lots of recordings from our rehearsal-room. And I have a digitalized Tape-Recording from concert in 1989. To 3: First, the singer of the band Alroys, Sam, was singer/bass-player of the band The Valets. And the brother of Roman from The Roman Games was drummer/singer of The Valets. But beside that these two bands have nothing to do with eachother. To 4: Not bands, but Ex-Members. As I allready told, The Roman Games is the only band that still exists. To 5: For Roman (The Roman Games - He had a Solo-Project with that name on that time) it was easy. All connections went through him - still do 🤔 For "us", Jeanne d'Arc it was a bit more difficult. Different Sound, not exactly in the same town, not in that connection. When I heard about the plan to do this record. I talked to Pat (initiator) and made a deal - "I make all the recordings, but Jeanne d'Arc is also on the record." That's why I recordet everything - which was not an easy task. I recordet it in our rehearsal-room. No compressor, no seperate room to listen, a realy bad mixing-console but good Tascam-8-track-recorder. For us, Jeanne d'Arc, the 8 tracks were not enough. So I had to mix tracks together to get the others free again. To 6: See 5 To 7: Hard question. Maybe I still have some old polaroids. But sure not a lot.
