The vocal group Cupertinos is almost exclusively dedicated to Portuguese music from the 16th and 17th centuries, having already presented around three hundred works, including more than one hundred unpublished pieces. Founded within the Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, V. N. Famalicão, in 2009, besides hosting the International Festival of Portuguese Polyphony, Cupertinos have participated in renowned music festivals.

Alma Redemptoris Mater by Duarte Lobo (c. 1565-1646), recorded at the Basilica of Bom Jesus do Monte in Braga by members of the vocal group Cupertinos, conducted by Maestro Pedro Teixeira.
This track is part of the Cupertinos' second album, "Masses, Responsories & Motets," dedicated to the illustrious Portuguese Master, Duarte Lobo, one of the exponents of the Golden Age of Portuguese Polyphony. Released by the prestigious Hyperion label, this album features eighteen previously unpublished works, bringing new awareness and interest to the composer's legacy and, broadly, disseminating knowledge about the Portuguese Musical Heritage of the 16th and 17th centuries.
