theres only 4 rotation states for each piece so it wouldve been way easier to just draw each rotation manually instead of making that whole system lol

4:39 there is a block that allows you to do this. There is a block in movement (I think) which is set rotation mode and you can set it to don’t rotate so the object moves like it’s rotated but it doesn’t look like it, if you know what I mean.

14:23 the reason this is happening is probably offscreen fencing. just make sprites bigger before you move them

now add SRS, allspins, max SDF, kick system and multiplayer

professional scratcher here. there is a movement block called "set rotation mode to ()" and there is an option to remove all visual rotation. also, you can have numbers less than 1, eg 0.5. it will also work if you put in .5, which is neato.

A very convinient thing about real life racing is a phenomenon called "slipstream", it's when a car/object goes so fast that it creates a vacuum behind them, and this vacuum creates a opportunity for the car that's behind to go faster because the force of the wind isn't there to push it back. Because of that, races are much more than just "drive as fast as you can", or else there wouldn't be much variety or fun in racing. Well, atleast that would be a solution to make your game's bots stop going in a set straight line, but items also work super well, specially for more arcade-ish games.
