545 ADHD Growth Journeys An Alumna Coaching Experience and My Path towards Sustainable energy...
In this episode of ADHD reWired, I’m pulling back the curtain on two intertwined journeys: my own path toward sustainability and the incredible growth story of Jessica, an alumna of our ADHD Coaching and Accountability Groups. As I’ve navigated my own challenges with burnout and the pressures of juggling too much, I’ve made a commitment this year to focus on what matters most. My word for the year-sustainability-has reshaped how I approach my work, my energy, and even this podcast.
Jessica’s story adds another layer of depth to this episode. After feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and disconnected while pursuing her PhD, Jessica joined our fall coaching group. Through her deeply personal and re...

Its amazing to see content from senior people with ADHD. For me, learning is very difficult without 'creating' something, so I find the MS/Amazon strategy on Cloud very challenging, in that the limited time subs to learn simply don't work for me - I need sand-boxing, virtual machines etc. to give me that hook to learn for the exams. Do such things exist for Azure?
Why is it so difficult to just listen and not miss the talking right now? 😅😅😅😅😅😅 I just stopped and resumed the video multiple times now....😮😅😅😅😅😅
Second divorce? Hows that for not paying attention
Nope. The diagnostic criteria presents hyperactivity as a primary symptom of adhd and women mostly present that symptom and most women with adhd actually get ruled out of diagnosis based of this "anomaly". It doesn't talk about the fact that instead of hyperactivity, it can present as hypoactivity as well. Couldn't disagree more with the "nonsense" that adhd for men and women are the same as the video opens with.
Thanks for this podcast, it changed my life. ❤
This makes my so happy to hear. ❤
I needed this so bad, but I'm also sad because I don't know how to overcome burn out and I'm sad that I can't do the so called steps to overcome burnout for so many reasons.
This gets close to being useful. Unfortunately not good enough to recommend nor finish listening. Just self promoting ad after ad. If you need money then ill try and be easy for you to understand, simple 3 letter word-GET A JOB
Thank you
So much finger pointing. Cant stand it. Couldnt finish episode. Guest rubs me the wrong way with every comment.
I don't see anything in the show notes about creative neurodiversity🤷
For those with ADHD fast forward to 7:48

Thank you!!!
This guy is insufferable
Anyone else totally lose focus during the commercial?
I wasn't diagnosed until last year I am 48 and my parents beat me trying to help me no treatment was offered I am starting therapy but I am mess I take Vyvanse 50mg but seems to help only a lil
It is strange to me that this really interesting podcast has been listened so few times
Thank you very much indeed❤❤❤
We suck 🙃
Good stuff

Either my kid does not have ADHD or there is, indeed, something different going on with females. My daughter did not exhibit any signs until adolescence... she is not sluggish incidentally or "dreamy"... but she does seem to have big problems with executive functions, even now in her 20's. She went from being a good student to a not good student by her high school years. I could go on. Her life is often on the edge of chaos, she struggles with friendship, her room is a mess always, she always forgets to pay for her mobile service.. she took 3 years to finish a 1 year college program (despite being quite bright!). At home, she often lets loose with her anger. However, when I read about restless, disruptive kids... not my daughter. Not even the idea about talking too much instead of being physically hyperactive, etc. I think Dr. Barkley is somehow resistant to looking at the gender difference, in a more nuanced way. I know he's dealing with hard science and has had a long career studying ADHD and no doubt other conditions but... something is missing. (And for men or women... what about diet. My daughter eats candy and refined carbs every day... so far, she is a tiny thing, physcially. But I wonder about that apparent craving... and the other possible effects on her health. I especially think about how she'd do if she ate what is commonly known as "real food" - i.e. unprocessed foods that have existed for centuries. Diet and psychiatry... another subtle thing to consider that is likely very significant.)
Laura Roehrick is a true pioneer of nursing foot care. Watching her RUclips channel gave me the confidence to start my own mobile foot care business in the SF East Bay Area! Thank you Laura for you dedication, teachings and wisdom!
Thank you Dr Olivardia
❤❤❤❤❤
Finding and listening to this podcast is crazy. I was diagnosed with adhd when I was 12 and I’ll be 40 this year. I also have endometriosis and a lot of issues with my cycle. I had absolutely no idea how many of my struggles are directly tied to adhd. I was medicated as a kid and that was about all that was done. There wasn’t any education around how to manage my emotional outbursts or any of the other symptoms I was experiencing. I’ve struggled my whole life to bury my feelings and just “act normal” like everyone else. I was called psycho as a teen and it’s all just haunted me my whole life. I referred to my Ritalin meds as “stupid pills” and told my mom I didn’t want to take them. Thank you Dr Kahn for sharing your story and thank you ADHD rewired for making this episode
Absolutely… hopefully we can all advocate for ourselves to reduce the unnecessary and unjustified stigma. And to educate others about what is less recognized about neurodiversity.
Is this recent? Is Tom Nardone alive? I miss hearing him. He brightens my life and brings genuine laughter like no one else!
It's not recent, but yes he's stlll alive. I talked to him about 2 weeks ago. He might be starting his podcast up again pretty soon.
@@ADHDreWired Yay, thank you so much for answering! So grateful and happy to hear 🙏!
I feel so called out by everything Dr. Kahn is saying. The breathing not working, hormones, migraines, all of it
I’m so happy this episode made you feel supported. Community and support are so, so important for us. ❤

Can’t watch this. The “music” was louder than the spoken introduction. I couldn’t hear what was being. I got to 43 seconds though.
remember do the hard work specially when you don't feel like it
keep it up❤
The issue is I’m struggling listening to this 😅 god dammit!
wtf
😊😊
I have an assessment in June for adhd and awaiting a date to be assessed for bipolar. This pod cast is hitting me so hard. I need a big hug right now. The pain throughout my life is unbearable. I'm coming here for some comfort. I am 43 years old. I just want help to be happy and stable. My hole life has been so hard. I am a good person,I have to keep telling myself that.
I just want to put a comment here, because I don't like empty comment sections.
Really enjoying this 0:45 and I feel like this will change people's lives
Truly ADHD interview. Majoring on all the minor details of an app and then spending 15 seconds on the majors. ADHD people cannot differentiate the important stimuli from all the 100s of others they have. When you interview one you have to facilitate conversation that redirect back to the important stimuli.
Whoaaa, did not expect this crossover but am here for it!
