For the life of me, I've never been able to remember the name of this cartoon short, but I've never forgotten that youth machine scene, being a punishment for such a mean dad. But I never could read the billboard, I wondered if that pic of the man in a baby hat was supposed to be the dad in live action, seeing his future, and all it was, was a friggin toothpaste ad, lol. I remember having this on a vhs full of classic merrie melodies cartoons.

Hear me out.. i just had this crazy revelation about what this cartoon COULD mean.. So the poor kid was living with an abusive father and then the Dog brought love in his life, because he had none. I would say the dog represented God's love. And then when the dad sees the dog he tries to beat him and he instantly gets knocked out by slipping on a toy down the stairs. Perhaps, that was a glimpse of where'd he be if continued being the way he was, and all the creepy elves were demons. When he woke up he was a changed man and a better person and father to his kid. I think the dog was an angel sent by God who helped them heal ❤

I remember that these shows were on either early morning or late afternoon. See. The reason why they became so popular back then was how elusive they were on at obscure times. But kids did watch them and going to school and telling thier friends about these shows. And the merchandise also was Japan exclusive as well. I remember when I was a kid. I once got a DBZ game exclusively from Japan on the PS1. (DBGT Final Bout$ And then WB saw this Anime Boom and thought $$$$$$$$ and the rest was history…..

Yeesh, 5:30am?! That was way too early! My local network, KCOP Channel 13 here in Los Angeles, used to air this at 7:30am back in the day. It was another bad timeslot because all the kids (1st grade & up) would already be on their way to school at that time. Cartoon Network did a better job with Sailor Moon IMO; they gave viewers something to look forward to after getting out of school 😊

He was judged guilty and placed in the youthenator where he was healed and went home a nice dad.

I mean, after all, it was a cartoon, and to me, that was good enough for me to watch it no matter whether that was on television or VHS since it helped pass the time and kept me from being bored most of the time.

It’s been so long since I last saw this cartoon when I was still just a kid, and during that time, I didn’t give much or any thought about what I was watching.
