I watched the Silver Star blast through a grade crossing a mile south of Hamlet Depot one morning about 12 AM - rattling every loose spike and bolt just as heard here- while still coming up on the throttle and blasting those horns into the night - what a sound(F40's).
Surprised you were allowed to get that close. I was waiting for an Amtrack at Harpersville between Jefferson and Warwick, and someone called NNPD, suspicious person near tracks. They were still skittish because of that coastguard guy who derailed the amtrack train at Nettles Dr.
Thank God we have some footage from Taz's last show. Yes, the sound quality isn't great, but we all know the music shines through! I sure wish I had gone!
