I have the privilege in 1960, in Halifax Nova Scotia, as a 10 year old boy, to be taken aboard, given a tour, and a wonderful meal (I especially remember the banana cream pie) by a kind submariner. It remains one of my fondest memories from my childhood. In 1982, I took my four year old son on the USS Albacore in Portsmouth. He has had a great fascination and connection with submarines ever since.
