Thank you for all your support it means so much to us. I made the mistake of editing this Vlog since we came home so had the holiday blues twice, I should have done it before we travelled. It is not so much the holiday finishing, but it is leaving Joshua in Uni. We really miss him and now have to wait til Christmas before we see him again. Yes, we had a wonderful time thank you. Did you have any highlights from your trip?

@ I remember this with our daughter, it does get easier…eventually. She has finished Uni now and lives about 2 hours away (we live in a really rural area so there are not many job opportunities here). They grow up but you still miss them and worry about them, I don’t think it ever stops.

@@ears2u969 We started our holiday at Disney and we are now ending it at Universal. Well, technically we started our holiday with a couple of nights at universal as our flights were re-arranged during the hurricane so there were some last minutes hotel adjustments. This meant we got to try Aventura and the Grand Floridian before we started our stay at the Boardwalk… no hardship. We missed out on staying at Coronado Springs but there’s always next time. We’ve had a great trip so far, thank you. I hope you all will too 😊

Thank you for your kind comment. The meal in the Aventura was one of the nicest we had. Also we didn’t do it this trip but the food in the Endless Summer Resort - Surf Side was also amazing. They seem to do a really good job in the food courts in the Universal hotels from what we have experienced.

We are going out on the 21st October to do HHN and onto Disney a few days later. I can’t believe how fast this year is going. I hope you have a wonderful trip.

@@ears2u969 Oh my goodness no, not offended in the slightest, I thought it was funny really funny 😊. We’re doing a similar trip, although we are starting at Disney and then moving on to Universal. We got some great news last week, our daughter is now coming with us, she started a new job recently and didn’t think she would get time off, she’s managed to get leave so will join us for 10 days. Our son and I are relieved as we were going to have to toss a coin to see who would accompany my husband to HHN, we’re both too scared! Thankfully, our daughter has saved the day, phew 😥 they have been before and really enjoyed it. I hope you have a great holiday when it comes.

Thank you for your kind comment. The Beach Club is in a really good location. Walking distance to Epcot, right next to The Skyliner & all of those resorts. I would definitely recommend staying there. There are so many snacks to choose from, but they are a couple of our favourites.👍 Really looking forward to peanut butter and jelly chicken wings from food & wine as well. Yum yum yum!

With the virtual queues, you have 2 opportunities per day. You will need to set an alarm for 6.55am so that you can try dead on 7.00am & just keep refreshing it. If you don’t succeed at 7.00am, then you can try again at 1.00pm. You will have to be in the park to get it at 1.00pm. I hope this helps. We actually bought points for the Grand Floridian in 2014 by accident. We didn’t really know how it all worked back then. We were staying in The Old Key West at the time. We paid cash after saving hard to get there. When we were there we got talking to a family who had DVC points and they showed us their 1 bedroom apartment. It was huge. So we thought we would look into it ourselves. At that time Disney were selling points for the Grand Floridian. So we went along to an appointment to see an open house and impulsively bought the points. After learning more about how DVC works, a couple of years later we enquired about changing our deeds to the AKL (our favourite hotel) because you can book your own hotel 11 months in advance but you have to wait until 7 months in advance for all of the other hotels. (Quite often there is no availability which is annoying and you have to put in a wish list.) We were talked out of it because The Grand Floridian is really sort after & a good investment. If we ever buy more points we will try & get them for the AKL. I will say though it is 1 of our best purchases & we are really glad we bought them. During COVID when we couldn’t travel we rented our points out & had money back as well.

@@0208DD Thank you for the kind comment. When I’m editing the vlogs some things really make me laugh. Matthew moving when we were supposed to be still was one of them. Also when Joshua wore his pyjama top to Magic Kingdom was another. Joshua is back home now. He loved every second of it. He was really sad when he had to leave. It was very hot out there, but he got climatized to the heat.

We especially like to stay in different hotels because it keeps the whole holiday exciting not knowing what the rooms are going to be like and because pool hopping has been stopped since COVID. Our DVC points have made it possible for us to do this. There are not many Disney hotels that we have not stayed in now. For our upcoming trip we are staying off-sight so it is also good to compare & see which is better. I hope you have a wonderful time on holiday.

Hello, we have been watching ur vlog and we really enjoy it. U came up on my suggestion list not long ago. We watch a couple the 2 new one and well done to Josh, I hope he is leaving his dreams and not missing you. I was very disappointed that ur best bit at the airport was meeting us (maybe that the worst bit lol) We started a vlog too and we went to Disneyland Paris Twice this year. I think u should try it, some of the rides are better and slightly different. Really enjoying ur vlog and if u need some tips for Disneyland Paris watch our vlog 😀🥰

@MrsAcko14 yes thank you Josh is enjoying Uni, he is actually going to be working as a photo pass photographer in WDW this summer on the cultural exchange programme, so we are going around the same time so that we can see him when he is not working. We are going in June for 2 weeks. Then we are planning on going back for a week towards the end of October hopefully with Josh & Kieran for all of the Halloween fun, particularly in HHN Universal. We are DVC members & have AP, so are lucky to be able to go frequently. So yes if we are there at the same time please come over & say hi.
