Bro how are you keeping the Sony so steady? No matter what I do I can't keep it as steady as you. Or could it be because my camera is now too old and something got damaged inside?
You just have to be little more careful with the movement when filming on X3000. Because it does not have Digital Image Stabilization. Maybe get a longer selfie stick and add a ball head to it.
The Sony X3000 is still king of the action cameras!! Looks much better out of the box image quality and looks and feels nimble!
Have you noticed any significant improvements after 2 months of firmware updates?
Yes. The Super night mode is better since the last update Also stabilization got better at night. At 30fps the video details are better if you turn the High bitrate settings.

I also love the X3000. I won't sell it. It is still the best imo. It produces a "3D" realistic looking image like from a quality camera besides its small sensor size. It looks different than all other action cams with digital stabilization. It is stabilized by this unique Sony Balanced Optical Steady Shot system. This is real hardware and not just an simple optical lens stabilization system like in smartphones, point and shoot cameras or lenses. The whole unit of lens and sensor is stabilized in a special "floating" unit...like an kinda inside gimbal. It is not as stable as a real gimbal nor as digital stabilzation. But it fits for our purposes. I love the look of the sharp real looking image, its colours and the natural stabilization. The sound is also great with dead cat. I like that it is not super fake stable. It looks weird to me. The DJI pocket 3 is even better with image quality (big sensor, great lens) but i don't like the gimbal handling. All other devices with digitale stabilzation which degrades image quality look flat and digital to me. It is digital stabilized and processed and without the great Zeiss lens. Great test. Awesome Video. I just pulled my Sony x3000 out of my closest been sitting the last couple years collecting dust and was trying to decide if i should upgrade it or just keep it. really enjoyed your comparison and walking around talking about both of them. thx
If your X3000 is still working well. Keep it. There's still no alternate to it in the market unless you go 1" or above.

The Sony X3000 was way ahead of its time when it first came out. No wonder the stabilization is still top-notch today! As an owner, I highly recommend you don't just keep it on a shelf but pair it with a good audio setup like the DJI Mic 2. But hey, did I mention how awesome the audio on the X3000 already is? Haha!

You can lower the ev settings on the X3000 and it does make a difference i have mine set to -3 and it looks alot better

@@BuatNonton-n8t I havent had much of a chance to test it indoors but i would say setting it below 0 ev and and seeing if it looks good or not

I am still using and love my FDR-X3000. I occasionally use it with my OM5 cell phone gimbal. No need for DJI pocket 3.

I just watched Bald and Bankrupt with Backpacker Ben today in the same video with another vlogger. All three vlogers were using x3000. I'm thinking about getting one. I have GoPro 11, Pocket 2, and Go 3. The Gopro 11 is terrible. Always overheating and terrible stabilization unless you are in super bright sunlight.
