The Americans get so cut when Secretariat isn't at Number 1 😂 They don't understand that Horses are faster at some distances than others. Example no way in the World Secretariat beats Black Caviar over 5 to 6 Furlongs 😂 Any further than that He does beat Her. I would have that Black Caviar should be Number 1 being that She was a Sprinter and She wasn't timed off a run up start 😂 as all of these Horses were as you Guys do in America and the only place that does it from what i gather. In Actual Fact none of the Legend that was and and still is the Immortal "Secretariat's" record breaking times, in each leg of the "American Triple Crown" races, The Kentucky Derby, The Preakness and The Belmont Stakes, have never been equalled, let alone beaten..! That is an awesome achievement, which has lasted for 51 years now. However there is one glaring inaccuracy in your narrative. The thirty two breeding shares were syndicated for the record price of U$ 6.o8 Million, BEFORE the Running of The Kentucky Derby and the remaining two races, NOT post. Thus it was much more of a gamble...! Sadly though as a stallion, although he was "useful", he was never able to recreate his own brilliance in his off-spring...

Um, no, Big Red wasn't one of the greatest race horses of all time, he WAS the greatest race horse of all time. I watched all of his Triple Crown races, he was truly a sight to behold. He was indeed huge, as I met him in 1980, and he'd make most tall men look tiny by comparison. Way bigger than Riva Ridge, the 72 Derby winner, who I met as well. But Sec loved attention, petting, and cameras, and Riva wasn't having any of it, lol! He was indeed a very special horse. I would imagine that if Almighty God wanted to ride, it would be Secretariat, lol!

In all the material I have read, the Big Head thing was never mentioned, not once (unless you were talking about the horses ego - because i believe there were jokes about that). In fact he was referred to, even as a foal, to be too pretty to be good especially after having Riva Ridge the previous year, who was homely. I could tell you about 10 other interesting facts that would have been more interesting (and factual) than what you provided. His heart size, the coin toss, the Sham rivalry, how fast he stood after birth, how he used to pose for cameras, how he felt his losses and would always break a record after one, how he could have had 5 different names (all rejected by the club), how he won on turf and dirt, won horse of the year twice, that he was buried whole... I could keep going. Even if it were a fact there was so much more that could have been used that would have served better and not come off as lazy. He was referred to as the horse God built (another fact) because he was practically perfect. An issue like that would not have lead to all the superlatives around his appearance. The more I think of it, the more I am positive someone said what you used as a fact in jest in one of the books about him. It was a reference to his ego where they said something about his head being so big (full of himself) it was amazing he could carry himself around at all. It was a joke. Not a fact. Do you understand what a joke/sarcasm is?

What he list in walking, and standing he made up in running. Instead of walking along the fence line, he took of running Instead and that's how Broke numerous running records. And the owner of Secretariot became a billionare...

Another bunch of drivel that takes the shine off a horse because the creator couldn't be stuffed researching and starting making up "facts". Secretariat STILL holds the Belmont record and was practically crossing the line when the rest of the field was turning. He would panel every field since, even now. What AP did was historic and emotional. Even for a die-hard racing fan from Australia who had a feeling at the start of 2015 I would finally see what I had been dreaming about for at least 10 years. That win was so exciting. Don't take away his accomplishment by failing to conduct a simple google search and check your facts. Only fools compare horses and don't allow their accomplishments to stand or feel the need to measure him against something. He didn't need a track record to have done something rare and amazing that he deserves all the accolades for because now everyone is going to compare or argue. I am of the opinion that Secretariat was the greatest and has much more of a claim to it as we have footage and (still standing) records (unlike with horses like Man'O War). I know TC history better than I know some of the Australian races, so being from elsewhere in the world doesn't excuse it either. It's sloppy to not fact check a video before releasing it. And if it was done intentionally for engagement that is even worse. One of my most prized books is "The Horse God Built", I'd recommend starting there

Secretariat had an advantage after its death from hoof disease the autopsy showed it had a larger than normal heart. It was able to pump blood to the entire body sending oxygen to all its extremities making the horse more efficient in endurance

Just to clarify for everyone secretariat was completely proportionate for his body he was a ginormous sized racehorse and he quite literally had three times the heart he was supposed to have. They had to put him down because he started to grow a bacteria in his foot that could not be cured at the time. If you look up greatest resource American Pharaoh and Secretary or equally matched because they raced on two different turfs
