Okay, it kind may be difficult to understand why she felt offended, but imagine that all the things that you do or say, no matter what, interviewers just don't care whatever you say, any word, they just want to get to you just because your a public celebrity. I don't think there's a person who wouldn't get offended by doing that. Every single person would automatically feel upset if it'd come to their minds that maybe the interviewer never cared of your purpose. If you think you wouldn't, it is because you are not famous, but if we were famous, at first it'd be really fun and precious, damn *-*, but later you would want to talk, and interviewers to listen you.

because she felt like rthe interview wasn't because of the matter that they were talking about, but because she is who she is. It was an interview because she was ellen page, and not because it was ellen page that cared about the enviroment. Thats the way i took it anyway

Jeff Scroggin in action ~ calm, focused and getting the job done effectively without a lot of emotional distress for him or all of us! That's why he's going to be an excellent Commissioner for Jackson County ~ he's got my vote!
Yes, I assume it would be because Ellen's agent or whatever (off to the side), said no to openly saying something like that because she doesn't know what it is... It only makes sense for her not to say she supports something (or make it sound like she does) just because someone asked her to. You never know what sort of consequences that can lead to, or public perception, if you don't know what something is or what it believes in, even though it may seem safe enough to.
Well said, @greenpostdoc! :) As @Paultization said, Ellen is a very genuine person, not just out there for more fame and fortune, like some are... She uses her status to bring attention to an issue, not herself, and that is fantastic! I <3 Ellen! :)
Good thing she really seems to try to use her own fame to make these problems known instead of making herself more famous by showing that she cares for the world too.

Shes a great actress, I genuinely like her work. But shes your typical garden variety champagne socialist. She's lived in the movie world since she was ten and is there-for educated by leftists (extreme or otherwise). Never actually lived in the real world. She will of course fit right in with Hollyweirds far from reality luvvies. Ellen, if you believe what you say give 90% of your wealth away. You will still be far richer than 99.999% of the planets population.

Nicely done Ellen. Spoken with a passion and a genuineness that are the hallmarks of a truly great leader - which it seems you are naturally evolving into. Hopefully you don't find this prospect daunting. You're clearly learning your lessons well and this planet and all living things on it are reaping the benefits of your efforts (as well as the efforts of ALL contributors to the environmental movement). For facilitating a greater good - and fighting the "good fight" - we thank you.
thanks for your comments, all. I actually posted this video not for the interview which I used in a broadcast piece, but rather for my step dad who is the teacher of WAMS. I wanted to give it to him as a gift. When I asked her, she actually said "yes". She looks to the side because her manager stepped in and said, "no, she can't do it. It would be different if she was familiar with the show." Ellen was actually apologetic and told me she wish she could.
why couldn't she just say it?
