Many years later, this clip still matters. I was at FAMU in 2002. I was also there in 1996 with A&T. That game was a renewal of meetings between the two schools that dated back to the 50s. You probably can't find the footage, but A&T v FAMU 1996-2002 were classic.

I wish the camera could have been more in the middle. The b-tones and first bones are completely out of the camera's listening spectrum. For some reason, those guys left the arc and were almost right up on FAMU's band. That's also why the mellophone sound is so prevalent in this clip.

I remember this game. One of the best 5th Quarters I can remember. This is when I developed respect for A&T. They really brought the heat that night.

They did beat out FAMU on this one ... this annointed person just gives me the chill ... the band provides the ambient for her to shine ... everybody can feel this ... this version should become our "National Anthem"

I do think I like ASU's better, but NSU just plays their's better. The Instrumentation is more balanced. Certain sections sound like they need help with ASU. Only thing with the ASU version is it kinda loses me adter the breakdown. A couokeNSU missed a scream and hung over too long too on this one a few times. I heard some bad notes here and there.
