Fun Little Echo Polka for Harpsichord and Clarinet
Просмотров 1968 месяцев назад
I love this combo! The sound level multipliers for the subsequent echoes are 0.8, 0.6, and 0.4, at a consistent delay speed. This is played using the harpsichord (main) and concert clarinet (layer) on the DGX-670. Hope you enjoy this and have a great day! Max

An Example of Von Neumann Stability Analysis (For Linear Partial Differential Equations)
Просмотров 491Год назад
Hello! This is an example of von Neumann Stability Analysis used on the Lax-Friedrichs Method for a linear, hyperbolic partial differential equation. Many thanks to Dr. Gardner for sharing this wonderful technique. I would like to point out something here for the sake of rigor. For a in the set of real numbers, abs(a)^2 is less than or equal to 1 if and only if abs(a) is less than or equal to 1...

Hello! Here is an example I love sharing with students, it's a creative way to see the different derivative rules working together to produce consistent results! This may be a useful video for students in Differential Calculus. It may be called AP Calculus AB, Differential Calculus, or Calculus 1. Another clarification: I didn't use proper notation! The one-way arrows mean "the first derivative...

So passionate and soulful. Your music gets beneath the skin and opens the heart.
Thank you! Love you Mimi!
Beautiful composition Max!
Thanks <3 love you dad!
Beautiful! You play with such emotion and depth. It is a blessing for me to hear your piano playing, Max. The piece is haunting and powerful. I wish your family blessings ❤ sending love from my family to your family as we sit together and watch your performance.
Thanks so much! It means a lot to me that you watch my piano performances with your family, I pray that God blesses your family as well!
Sounds beautiful, is this a free improvisation?
Thank you so much! Yes :)
@@MaxMercerPiano Congrats, it's chill and peaceful. I honestly miss that piano. I moved abroad. The piano is in my parent's house
I have DGX 670, but when i record through USB key the piano sound, the sound is weak and distorted. Do you apply some mastering or editing of the audio first?
Good question! I have some issues with the USB drive on the DGX-670 stopping mid-recording, and the output being relatively quiet. So I need to get lucky, getting the USB to record the whole song :) I didn't edit the audio for this one, but I sometimes use audacity to increase the gain of the sound file by about 5-10 decibels.
@@MaxMercerPiano mine is also quiet around -12 db and when i add gains, it results in a bad quality, really bad, at high volume from the phone sounds horrible. But your audio is good here and amazing playing. I can feel we have the same audio issue when listened from the phone.
@@12Keys Thanks! It's great to know that I'm not alone with these tech issues <3
what piece is this?
I have been calling them Sensitivity because that is what the derivative should be named :) Saying, "the sensitivity of the function" makes much more sense to me!
This has to be one of the most beautiful piano compositions I’ve ever heard, God bless your family 💚💚💚💚
Thank you so much! I’m so grateful for your comment.
You did amazing! Soo pretty
Thank you so much!
you played Beautifully man it sounds amazing , when did you started playing?
Thank you so much! I have been playing for fun since I was 4 years old :)
❤beautiful!
The soft press at 0:34 was so elegant. I also fancied the chord progression towards the end. Well done.
Many thanks! I don’t consider myself a pianist, so I’m grateful to hear people like my playing, but it’s especially touching when people compliment the composition.
Hey Mr. Mercer. I’m wondering why we use |G(k)|^2 at the end?
Hi Estella, thanks for asking! For a number which has magnitude less than 1, the magnitude of the square is less than or equal to the magnitude of the original number. For instance, 0.5^2 is 0.25. This also applies to negative numbers (which is important because even if the growth factor is negative, it’s still technically stable as long as the growth factor is not less than negative one). So if we can show that the square is less than one in magnitude, the original number must also be less than one in magnitude, and so we meet our stability condition. I hope this helps.
@@MaxMercerPiano it does, thanks so much!
Wonderful performance 🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

@@MaxMercerPiano you are very welcome my friend 🎹🎵🎶🙂🙌
just keep it up bro your channel will get bigger ı hope
Thank you so much! You just explained three concepts I was confused about for like a month! I just did my homework and now it seems so simple.
Please I need the full song! I need it!
A gorgeous piece, from a pure heart!
