Back in 1984 I bought a red 1979 L -82 Corvette, we were going to lunch one day and a guy from work had a 1981 Z/ 28 and he pulls up beside me we raced from a 30 mile an hour Tromp my vette downshifted to first he stayed with me till I hit second gear and did a second gear scratch right in his face, but a Corvette L-82 should outrun a Z/28

Mine was black with white racing stripes four speed. Mine had the split bumper. I also had a sixty nine. With a 302 4 speed

Nice ride but I really don’t think it’s a 1970 possible 1976 or newer . 1970 didn’t have plastic front & rear fascia’s or the long plastic tail lights. Just my observation . Because I had 1 1970 RS Burnt Orange with a black vinyl top 😢

I still have my old high school car, only gets driven now at these cruises. Restored it awhile back. Not as cool as the cars you mentioned. But glad I kept it all these years.

Drove a 1976 Nova 305 cid 2bbl carb . Good on gas until you had the need for speed , Miss that Chevy , someone pulled out in front of us at an intersection totaled both cars but everyone was OK thank God.
