Agreed thought about getting back into the game but if I can't play my most recent save with the new features I'm good leaving it in the trash 😬
Hey man i download this game ps4 edition and its not even showing my old save. I used to play back in 2021 and saw the new updates but my save file is missing so i cant even highlight it to transfer to ps5. I had all s ships n its vanished. Dont really want to start from scratch. Is this a issue with the bug to ?
If you have Ps+ you can download you save Data from the cloud, if not are you on the same PS4 console and profile that you played before .
@@MooseGaming83 I am on the same profile but I have upgraded from the ps4 to ps5 and am not sure my ps4 save was saved to the cloud now I'm thinking about ut
@@maxarcher7768 If you you still have your ps4 you may be able to transfer it with a flash drive if you dont have PS+

@maxarcher7768 all can suggest is to see what the date is on the Cloud save to see if it's your old ps4 save.

I'm starting to think that the feature may have been removed intentionally. Three weeks and no developer got an information about this serious issue? No way!
Because of this issue I manually tranferred my savegame from my ps4 to ps5 (running the ps4 version with my old savegame now). Anyone else experiencing a lof of crashes? And no its not my console overheating 😅. Really hoping this is fixed when I transfer to the ps5 version...

Sorry,but as of now there is no new info, other than the possibility of a cross save feature coming for all Platforms.

Unfortunately no, but there has been some findings that a cross save feature may be coming for all Platforms. So maybe that's why it's been removed 🤔, would be nice if HG could let us know.
OH! It's a glitch! I thought it wasn't working because I don't pay for PS+. Fortunately I'm not super invested in my old save anyway, but still....
How is it a glitch? It only appears sometimes? For many of us it isn't there at all ever which equals not a glitch. It wad more likely they forgot to add it back in.
@grungerocker76 it's possible they forgot to add it to the new UI or there's a cross save feature coming that will allow to move save Data to any platform.
am I the only one still baffled on how to do it!

Just thought of something that might work… what if you completely uninstall the ps4 version from your ps5 and reinstall it but DONT download the new update… maybe you would be able to simply transfer the save without the update installed and then the save would work on the ps5 version… will test this and come back with results.
I wish it would be true, but during 1.0 (Disk only no Update) pS5 was not thing, so the transfer option would not be there.
@@MooseGaming83 ahhh damn!! That absolutely sucks, of course: I’m forgetting how old this game actually is. It kinda adds to the suckiness of this situation too… my save is from day one… I got my ps5 two days ago and I’ve been playing the WHOLE time 😂😂😂

Would it be possible to install an old ps4 version of the game from disc and transfer the save?
No unfortunately the oldest Disk build is Beyond and File transfer was not a thing at that time

they have a new cloud save system coming, that's likely why it needs to be off right now.
We do not know this for sure, at this moment it is only speculation.
@@MooseGaming83 oh? so you can explain why they added a new save property for crossave in your save file? It's clear this is being developed. It may never come, or maybe it will only come to Light no Fire, but it is being developed. Otherwise they wouldn't be flagging saves as both crossplatform ready and crosssave

Yes it is vary frustrating, I am consistently sharing and reporting this issue to Hello Games in hopes they will see it.
I was trying to play NMS on my ps 4, but it kept crashing with every space battle. It takes ages to get back into the game. So I bought a PS 5 so that I could load back into the game faster a crash. I was very disappinted when I learned that transfering my saves was not possible. 😢 So many community rewards lost. It would be fantastic if they could figure out a way to link all the platforms so that I can have all my community rewards in my Steam, gog, ps4, ps 5 and switch versions of the game.

Currently playing the Psvr2 version no HUD and I absolutely love it that way. Much more immersive without all the icons and I love how you can still find the most important information with your scanner or you navigation display on your ship.
Let me know (@ me here) when its fixed guess Im taking a break from nms again...
So what you are saying. Because I'm trying to do this today it's impossible? I can play my old save on the PS4 version but no option to upload to PS5. It's driving me nuts.
