You ever figure out the bracket size doing the same thing and running into the same issue

@@chevysheirls8595 I got 1/2in spacers and they work for mounting the speaker however putting the door panel back on seems impossible. I got 6.5 for the rears and then realized he used 5.25. I’m going to try again Friday with putting the door panel back on. Hope this helped some. And you’ll need longer screws too (unless the dude who owned the truck before me just put whatever in).

@@dwil9743 so you used a 1/2 speaker spacers for the front and you can get the door panel back on? just got some skars and realized i cant install them.

@@daneblackburn2803 Yeah I had the same issue with it originally but if you get longer screws like I listed from McMaster and thread 1 in to hold (i did whatever was the top and closest to door hinge first) then I did the next top screw, Leave them loose and then bottom screw that's on the window side. So only screw missing is the bottom screw that's on the bottom of the door side. I used an impact and went slow (you'll hear the spacer flexing and crunching) but the door panel went back on easy.

Sorry to hear that, what I did was I connect two speakers together at a time & ran one wire to the amp ch, & I did the same on the other side to another ch. & they still to this day play good

By looking at it i would guess a 12 def not a 15

Its went to Lowe's & got some bolts & big washers so it wouldn't bust through the head liner with the weight of it, washers on the inside & outside so pretty much the headliner is sandwiched in between,

Behind the headliner there's usually 2 metal sheets. You can drill through the first sheet without piercing the roof. Another option would be adding a board behind the headliner.

@TimRob_show&tell I have no clue I want to take my back seat out and put a tall box across the back with 4 12 inch subs or do a blowthrow

@@tommieshears-yr5el yeaaaaaa I definitely understand, my plans is to do a blowhole too I just been to busy with work & the family I can't find time to do it, & on top of it I'm just nervous about cutting my truck like that lol

That's my problem I don't want to cut my truck so does it make sense to just take the back seat out

6x9s all I did was went on Ebay & typed in the truck type & they popped up

@@timrob_showtell1771 Yep that's what I'm going to do. I will run my front two channels for those guys and bridge the other 2 channels for my single sub. I got their I believe 6 or 800 watt shallow 10" sub for 80 bucks you can't beat it.

Appreciate it brother but yea u should definitely do it, its other ways u can mount it, it doesn't take up to much head room & I can still see out the window
