A Town Worth Saving - a time lapse of Woomelang
Over a two day period I was up visiting my mum in Woomelang and I used the time to take a some time lapse images of the town. It is my first time really doing something like this here. I hope the people of Woomelang like it.
I was using my Nikon D850 with the 16-35mm lens. I was also using a Fujifilm X-H2 camera and 16-55mm lens. I used a combination of Bucky and Winston, my 3 Legged Thing tripods to keep the cameras steady for the time needed to take the almost 4000 images used in this video. I also used my 10 stop ND filter from Formatt Hitech. To get the panning I had the Syrp Genie Mini working hard.

Aireys Inlet with my first Time Lapse of the Milky Way

Finally had a chance to attempt my first time lapse of the milky way. It didn't go as planned and I definitely need to work out more things before my next attempt. It is a start. I also have some photos of the lighthouse at Split Point in Aireys Inlet. A stunning day with the promise of clear skies for night photography.

Melbourne Docklands in 2016 - Looking back
Просмотров 64Год назад
I took so many photos of Melbourne and the areas around it in 2016. The Docklands is one of those areas. It was a bit of a developmental dud, but they did build some interesting spaces down there along with some great buildings. Today I want to show you some of the many images I took down there in 2016. I hope you enjoy them.

Looking at my photos of Melbourne Bridges taken in 2016

I have photographed the city of Melbourne so many times over the years, but when I went to look at the ones taken in 2016 I was overwhelmed with how many there actually were. I decided I needed to divide them up and I would start with the bridges. Melbourne has so many bridges as a river runs through it. Some are for everyone, and some are pedestrian bridges. The ones for people walking are the...

I've been photographing Melbourne for many years now and I thought it might be nice to do a series of videos showing my photos of the City of Melbourne through the years. Using Photoshop to do some burning and dodging on my photos.
Просмотров 115Год назад
Burning and dodging are the types of things that we used to do in the darkroom. It wasn't always easy, but we did it to brighten or darken things on our images. These days you can use it in a different way and be a lot more specific with the areas you want to burn and dodge. It is a great way to bring up the highlights or shadows. Something that most of use working on our photos should know how...

I’m sure you’ve considered getting a faster computer, I remember before I upgraded how aggravating it was trying to do this kind of editing. As for using ON1, I have it but rarely use it. I also have several other programs I’ve quit using since starting a new workflow with Adobe Bridge, Adobe Camera Raw, and Photoshop with additional panels by Blake Rudis.

    • @leannecolephotography

Haven't we already had this conversation, I have a fast one already. It isn't a problem when I am just using it, it just seems that when I am running the program to record what I'm doing it goes slow. I don't know why. It doesn't happen with Photoshop or really Lightroom, just ON1.I like to include ON1 because many people don't like or want the Adobe stuff.

If you dont want photos in and use onedrive then dont have folders and files on your Desktop, Onedrive is backing up everything on your desktop in the case of a failure, as long as you are backing up somewhere else just remove onedrive.

This came up on my feed and I just want to say I think you should have become a little familiar with the program before your video. ON1 is far from perfect but familiarity with the program would have helped a little. I stopped watching while you were in browse mode and to get back to all the photos is a simple click on the bottom left icon that looks like a bunch of stacked boxes which was next to the highlighted single box icon. I get that it was your first look at ON1 but all programs run differently. Sorry to be negative but hopefully this will be helpful going forward for other first looks.

Hi again Leanne, I watched your last video on ON1 RAW Photo 2023. In this video, I'm wondering why you didn't zoom in to get that little chunk of pole that was left just above the truck bed. I think in this instance for that photo, after I removed most of the stuff that you removed, I'd replace the sky. 😎

    • @leannecolephotography

I was doing it quickly and it was more about seeing what Photoshop would do and how it compared with ON1. I think the bit you are talking about were other power lines and I would have had to remove a lot more stuff, I wasn't really concerned about that.
