Honda Element Center Console - Ford F-150 (04-08)
After hours and hours of looking for an aftermarket center console for my Honda Element - I landed on a very unexpected solution… the Ford F-150! Specifically model year 04-08, with automatic floor/center console shifter. Surprisingly very little modification was required. Watch for details, post any questions below.

Does that work with hiro swivel seats?
Would it work with swivel seats
Hey does this work for the 07-11 model Elements as well?
Curious which F150 model that was taken from? I've had an F150, Triton V8, SuperCrew & the center console you show is totally different than mine
This one was from a F150 FX4... but the key is 04-08 models with the 'floor shifter' which basically means the shifter is in the center console, not the stalk on the steering column. That is what gives you the hold to reach through for the Element e-brake.
Awesome! Just bought an 03 today. I’m also in Philly. Is there a big presence here? Thanks mate!
Congrats! I ran into a few enthusiasts, but not many. Good luck with the catalytic converter thieves. 🤦♂️
@@richmckie5793no way! Did you get yours taken? Where about an are you? I’m in roxborough
@@Papane1 Yup! They got mine in the same night as 2 other E's in my neighborhood (Italian Market in South Philly). I've since sold it before moving to the west coast.
I did this! It’s perfect! I also cut up a cheap grey tote from Goodwill and used the plastic to shape the inside a bit more. That way it doesn’t just look like it’s sticking out to nowhere
Well done!
Not sure why alot do this .It fits to tight and isn't comfortable...
To each their own I guess.
Do you have to remove the front panel to install the rear panel? Help.
I’m not quite sure what you mean by the different “panels”.
This is nice. Def left some room for improvement on making it a cleaner fit. Maybe use that shifter opening for a trash bag holder thing?
Lots have done that. Some have successfully 3D printed a cup/tray to drop in.
@@richmckie5793 nice! Even better
Got mine for 35 at a pick in pull looks just like yours
Nice!
I got a black one from a Harley Davidson edition F150 at the junkyard. Looks good, works great. I haven't anchored it yet, it's wedged snugly in between the seats.
Who else thought the center console door would slam onto his fingers? 😂Awesome video though. I'm looking for a new Element and as soon as I get it, I am doing this!
This is great!!
Do you think it get in the way if someone has the hiro’s swivel seats?
Sorry I’m not sure.
👍👍cool!
Wow...
Just bought an old ass 03 definitely gone try this. Thank you!!
Howdy, very cool. Did you remove all the inner parts that are hard plastic that route the air to the back? And did you remove the seat caps on the bottom insides of the front seats?
Yes, all the guts came out, only the underside of the arm rest storage remained. I used an oscillating tool to cut off all of the clips where it would attach to the ford.
Dream machine for me, some day eh
Will Hiro's Hotrods rotating seat mount work with this?
I have no idea. But if the seat extends over the stock center console while rotating - I'd guess not.
Awesome. Doing this mod this weekend.
I just did this! Took me less than an hour and that included putting my tools away. I used a Dremel Tool to trim off the tabs. Otherwise I followed the video which was reallt easy. Thank you Rich, you just made my (new to me) 2003 Element much more comfortable to drive. Edit: I got my console off e-bay for $200 plus $12 shipping.
Glad it helped!
Any issues with the seats sliding back and forth?
Makes it a little harder to slide, but not impossible.
Awesome, thank you!
I just watched this video...again. I've watched it a number of times over the last year. You really did a great job. One of the best "how to improve your car" videos on RUclips!
Thx for sharing this video. My Q is, how hard is it to take out the console from an F150? Any special tools required? I'm assuming a long 1/4 or 3/8 extension. Thx
Basic screw drivers and small socket set.
My neighbor just bought an element and said he will do this. I've been looking for an element for my wife and definitely will do this for her. This is awesome.
great idea thanks
Yezzzzzzir.... niiiiiiiiiice
Nice
I was about to say.....what about the e-brake....it can't be covered.....then I continue seeing the video and can't believe that it fits the ebrake perfectly 🤩
What year is your element, I have a 08 lx
'05 ex
Cool!
True genius 👊
Curious if this would work for a 2011 Element LX?
I’m not sure
Soon, the only Elements people will be able to buy will be our customized ones we’ve let go…
Wow! Nice 👍
how do you get this between the seats? did u assemble it in place? trying right now in an 07ex.
got it in.. tight is quite an understatement.. on mine it sets off the passenger seatbelt
At 4:45 I explain this best.
How did you gut it out?
Everting unbolts. Plastic tabs can be cut out by hand or like butter with oscillating tool.
you are a genius sir!
I just got my console today. I got the factory armrest out and will fab it up tomorrow. Thanks for the great info!
What year F150?
It’s in the video title and 10 seconds into the video. 🤪
Would the one without the shifter on the center console not work? They seem to be the same dimensions
You wouldn't have access to the e-brake without the one with the shifter hole on the console.
Big bro that is beautiful good design
Wife just got me one of these for my ELE, thank you so much for the idea! Going to install this morning!
Brilliant idea....thanks
Thank You!
Does it still leave enough room to lay out a bed in the back?
Unless you find yourself sliding the seats all the way forward for your bed, should still fit fine.
I like it
