Thanks for all the great EM content, your positive reviews directly contributed to my recent purchase of a new '23 EM Escape R (year-end special). I also weigh 200+ lbs. with gear on, so I'm planning to follow your lead on stiffening the stock rear shock. Can you tell me what size spanners you use to turn the rings? Also wondering how the heck you manage to reach up into the top of the shock to turn the rebound screw - there's not even enough space in there for me to get a flat ratchet driver on it. Many thanks for any guidance you can offer.

The local dealer had some serious issues with the batteries on the earlier models and there's also some talk about limited warranty. Any comments about that?

Nice! Another approach for a parking brake is to put the bike in walk mode (hold upper button a few seconds). Then it will use the motor to hold it's position and not roll back or forward.

Thanks for the S/O John! The trials tubeless wheel is a 2.15. The TuBliss system you are running is definitely the best system to keep a consistent bead on the 1.85. From my experience, the trials tire (Michelin X11) will not stay beaded on the 1.85 rim even with 2 rimlocks. So I guess the final test would be if the TuBliss system would hold it on.

Is the clutch the same as a gas bike (clutch plates)? Do you have to replace clutch plates after a while?

Great video John! I sure love mine and even though they come ready to rock out of the box, there is nothin like upgrading it and making it your own!

The fork on the limited bike is quite good. We have only had one short ride on ours.

How much and can you get one?

I think one of these would rule in the super tight stuff we like to ride here in Washington state. Cool bike.

What's the overall weight?

Anyone who says or thinks that you "don't need a clutch" is obviously not riding anything technical. Regardless of throttle response time, you simply can not mimic the actions of spooling up rpm's and releasing that energy in a controlled manner with just the throttle. The rider has to be able to control traction of the rear wheel with a clutch for any serious riding and definately competing in hard enduro. That is never going to change. It's something that Stark is going to have to come to terms with and the only reason that I would consider an Electric Motion over a Stark Vark.

Hey John, I have a question about the EM. When I start the Battery, the Mapping Light gets instantly Green, BUT the Throttle isn’t working. Do you have any idea? Great regards

How did you do the PRB mod? You say you bought an original? All I can find is the PRB-R that goes on top of the clutch. I work at a dealer in Columbus Ohio that just got EM and I’m ordering one.

8:41 That is a 9 in the front. Count it out. Buy a new chain every 500 miles.

3:30 That 9T front sprocket is woefully small for chain life with the 38T rear. 10/44 or 10/45 would last longer.

14:20 The front is tiny also. One more tooth on the front and 3-4 more in the rear will make the chain last longer.

7:25 Steering head design is reminiscent of an old S.E. Quadangle BMX bike from the 80's. Very rigid neck design.

That clutch is an awful idea. Just not something I want on an electric bike. Having to step down on features and power to lose the clutch kinda sucks.

Where did you get your hand guards?

I search from google, 10 vertical 22 horizontal. The voltage of stark is 360v means 100 series of 3.6v batteries. In parallel they use 4.4 parellel, So 4.2 x 4.4 approx 18.48. In total 360s x 18.48 = 6,652.8 of power input. Hi voltage, they create 14,200 of rpm according to google. In this moment i am searching thw gear reduction.😂😂😂😂😂

Such a nice detailed build quality review. Now how about a ride review. These things are availalbe now in the US and I might want one. Would love to see it against an Artic Leopard which has more power but is likely not built as well. I also wonder about the suspension difference between the x and xr and if the xr is worth $2k more.

Nice information. Not sure if I would want that clutch or not on an emoto and they are going for added $2000 for it yikes. Now for some ride reviews. Show us how and when you might use that clutch on some trails maybe do the same section with and without ? Thanks again.

Sounds like you need to turn up the idle a little bit then it won’t stall so easy.

Hi! Good video. I have question for 2023 Escape R . Some reason my battery discharge about 14 percent Every day ( 24 hours ) is it normal? This is just parked in garage not riding… 3 days parking battery go down less than 50 percent.

Yes, but everyone knows that Segway and other companies have exaggerated how far you can travel at a given speed. These vehicles often fail after just 5 to 10 miles. They will slow you down to 5 to 10 mph after a short period before the battery is completely drained. Additionally, the electromagnetic field near your groin area poses a risk of testicular cancer. No thanks.
