I can still remember the HOOTING as Lopez dropped in on that shot, when Five Summer Stories first showed at Carlsbad High School in about 1973 maybe? I was a Grom. It was advertised as "400 watts stereo" as that too was almost unheard of once. There is not a single So Cal Surfer who did not have HONK songs memorized, and who didn't dig the chick on the logo poster and buy Waxmate, which is purple! Maikai'i ka hana, 'O Mollusk!
