I have 2 of these welders and they both have the same issue. The wire sputters, seems like the wire is getting pinched, I’ve already replaced the liner. I ended up buy a new welder because I couldn’t figure it out and didn’t feel like throwing parts at it, but I would like them repaired because they were my grandfather’s.

Folks ,when he says the cams will roll over. He means after you remove the tbelt , one of the cam[gears] may SPRING ! forard or back risk hitting the piston. Moving the crank just off tdc helps avoid bending valves. Although i never heard or had it happen . It seems like a good precaution.

What type of noise does it make? Is it a constant noise while you’re driving similar to like a metal or metal? And besides noise, would it give me a high revving RPM

I did the same job in 6 hours it was a pain. I got injectors from Autozone.

I had a slight misfire on idle specially in the morning so decided to change my injectors, i did mine @ 120k KM bought same injectors from ebay $90usd, its been 8k km (6months) now with no issue...

I have an 89 almost the same as yours and love it. Paid only $3,500 Canadian and they sell for about 10 G here. If you got it for $2,500 , thats a steal cause their worth a lot more. mine has 89,000 km or about 50,000 miles on it. I love working on it doing many little upgrades and renos.

PLEASE see a brain specialist!! So many medical providers aren't experienced in detecting TBI's! I've experienced it with urgent care and doctors, twice! Literally told an urgent care provider that I had been hit in the head and I was given asprin, and the doctor only cared about what the scan showed!

Way back in the day when welders were made to be worked on by average guy! The manual is so helpful wording diagrams I got mine going replacing a few parts she weds more smoothly then any new machine I’ve used.

The Lincwelder 225 was a good workhorse in its day. I wanted one back in 1985 after I got out of college but settled for a used Weldanpower 150 which I still have.AL B.

About to do this where did you get the replacement injectors ? I’m thinking about getting some on eBay but seems sketch that they are only around $120 seems cheep

I've always really liked these machines. It's actually the third one I've owned. The key to keeping them running is having at least one donor machine. I've found some parts for them to be unobtainable like the magneto that went bad on this machine in one of my previous videos.

I just scrapped my Lincwelder 225. I kept the idle control but I heard so many bad things about them with the rings breaking apart that I am happy with my Miller Bobcat and my Hobart 300 that was used on the Alaskan Pipeline. I am really glad that yours is in such good shape.It looks like it should last a long time.

Did yours pop out of gear too? Or is that a different issue? Im aware of the synchronizors causing popping out. But im hoping the bearing is the only issue

I would have taken the cover off packed those bearings with thick grease and put it back together.

Can you weld aluminum with it?

New subscriber here. I love the yellow truck. I have been looking for something in the early 40's to make a welding rig out of. Your shop is definitely a place to get stuff done. As soon as it gets warm enough to get out in the barn I am starting my youtube channel also with a build of a machine shop to support the building of a 1928 Morgan MG special. Thanks for sharing my friend. I just scrapped one of those welders. The rings tend to break and slide around. I was lucky to find a Miller Bobcat that needs some work. Beautiful work my friend. That Hobart mig did a good job. I am a little astounded that id did that good a job with the 3/4.....
