I think this design has 2 massive flaws: 1. The center of the kinetic chain attaches to the pelvis and nothing else. I believe it should be attached to the legs as well, as the posterior chain is the main actuator in movements related to lifting things off the floor. 2. It mimicks lumbar contraction. In heavy lifts, which is what the exosuit is designed for, the lumbar spine works isometrically to create stability for structural integrity (preventing disks slipping) and optimal force transfer from the limbs.

Er... How does this work? It appears it can only add compression to the spine, not unload the spine.
Actual muscles can only provide work on compression (when becoming shorter). I guess the structure of the machine or the bones themselves provide pivot points for the forces to be properly directed. Nevertheless, the video itself is not clear on that regard.
